The brace may include a removable insert, which may be relatively rigid for insertion into a pocket of the knee brace to provide extension (e.g., terminal extension) of the knee when the insert is inserted. Heating and/or cooling is also provided. The system may further include a portable elevation stand, allowing the user to elevate the lower leg during cooling or heating treatment.
