A waterborne polyurethane dispersion is provided. The waterborne polyurethane dispersion comprises residual moiety of a hydroxy-terminated siloxane compound in the main chain and exhibits good anti-stickiness and/or wet color fastness while retaining superior mechanical properties. A laminated synthetic leather article prepared with said waterborne polyurethane dispersion as well the method for preparing the synthetic leather article are also provided.

Aqueous coating composition with soft touch upon drying

Aqueous coating compositions include dispersed polyurethane-vinyl polymer hybrid particles obtained by free-radical polymerization of at least one vinyl monomer in the presence of a polyurethane. The polyurethane and the vinyl polymer in the hybrid particles are present in a weight ratio of polyurethane to vinyl polymer ranging from 1:1 to 20:1, and the polyurethane is the reaction product of at least the following components: (a) from 5 to 40 wt. % of at least one organic difunctional isocyanate, (b) from 0.5 to 4 wt. % of an isocyanate-reactive compound containing ionic or potentially ionic water-dispersing groups having a molecular weight of from 100 to 500 g/mol, (c) from 40 to 80 wt. % of at least one diol having a molecular weight from 500 to 5000, (d) from 0 to 10 wt. % of at least one active-hydrogen chain extending compound with a functionality of at least 2 other than water, (e) from 0 to 10 wt. % of at least one diol having a molecular weight below 500 g/mol. The isocyanate and hydroxy groups on the components used are present in a respective mole ratio (NCO to OH) in the range of from 0.8:1 to 5:1.

Aqueous antifogging resin, aqueous antifogging coating composition and preparation method thereof

The present invention discloses an aqueous antifogging resin, introducing a molecular segment and a functional group with good hydrophilicity and hygroscopicity, which impart excellent antifogging performance, coating strength and transparent flow appearance to the aqueous antifogging resin and the cured coating has a water contact angle of up to 1˜10°. The present invention further discloses a coating composition including the aqueous antifogging resin, and the cured coating of the coating composition has good antifogging, wear-resistant, water-resistant, chemical resistant, stain-resistant and UV-resistant performance, and excellent adhesion to a substrate; and the coating is firm at the same time, and has excellent film-forming strength and flexual endurance. The coating composition can be used for antifogging surface treatment of the window of mobile phone, PC or PMMA transparent materials, automotive glass and bathroom mirrors and has good long-term stability.

A polyurethane-based binder dispersion is described. The polyurethane based binder dispersion comprises: a polyurethane, which comprises: (A) a polyisocyanate; (B) a first polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at one end of the chain and no hydroxyl groups at an opposed end of the chain; (C) a second polyol having a chain with two hydroxyl functional groups at both ends of the chain; (D) a carboxylic acid functional group with two hydroxyl functional groups; and (E) a compound shown in formula (1): m(M+) n(X)—R—Y— (1), wherein m is 0 or 1, M is a metal, n is 2 to 10, X is an amino group, R is a C1 to C18 alkyl group, a C6 to C30 aromatic compound or a C4 to C20 aliphatic cyclic compound, and Y is SO3- or SO3H, with the proviso that when m is 0, Y is SO3H and when m is 1, Y is SO3-.

The invention provides a laminated polyester film that is highly transparent, is resistant to blocking, and has excellent adhesion to a hardcoat layer and UV ink. The laminated polyester film contains a polyester film substrate and a coating layer on at least one surface of the polyester film substrate. The coating layer is formed by curing a composition containing a urethane resin with a polycarbonate structure, a crosslinking agent, and a polyester resin. The maximum value of a nitrogen element distribution curve based on element distribution measurement of the coating layer in the depth direction is present in the vicinity of the surface of the coating layer on a side opposite to the polyester film substrate. The polycarbonate structure is present in a suitable amount at the surface of the coating layer on a side opposite to the polyester film substrate.

URETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION, SURFACE TREATMENT AGENT, AND ARTICLE

The present invention provides a urethane resin composition including a urethane resin (A), an olefin resin (B), water (C), and a carbodiimide compound (D) having a carbodiimide equivalent of 340 or more. Also, the present invention provides a surface treatment agent including the urethane resin composition described above. Further, present invention provides an article including a layer formed of the surface treatment agent. The content of urethane bond in the urethane resin (A) is preferably within a range of 980 to 4,000 mmol/kg. The content of urea bond in the urethane resin (A) is preferably within a range of 315 to 850 mmol/kg.

The present invention provides a urethane resin composition including an anionic urethane resin (X) and water (Y). The anionic urethane resin (X) is produced using, as essential raw materials: a polyol (a) including a polycarbonate polyol (a1) produced using biomass-derived decanediol as a raw material; and a polyisocyanate (b) including an aliphatic polyisocyanate (b1) and an alicyclic polyisocyanate (b2). Furthermore, the present invention provides a dry coating formed from the urethane resin composition, and provides a synthetic leather including the coating as a skin layer. The polycarbonate polyol (a1) is preferably produced further using butanediol as a raw material. The molar ratio [(b1)/(b2)] of the aliphatic polyisocyanate (b1) to the alicyclic polyisocyanate (b2) is preferably within a range of 10/90 to 90/10.
