Solid electrolyte composition, binder for all-solid-state secondary batteries, and electrode sheet for batteries and all-solid-state secondary battery each using said solid electrolyte
Provided are a solid electrolyte composition including: an inorganic solid electrolyte having conductivity of an ion of metal belong to Group 1 or 2 in the periodic table; and a high polymer binder, in which the high polymer binder is formed of a polymer having a hard segment and a soft segment, a binder for all-solid-state secondary batteries, and an electrode sheet for batteries and an all-solid-state secondary battery each using the solid electrolyte composition.
Anti-fouling coatings fabricated from polymers containing ionic species
An anti-fouling coating is provided, containing a continuous matrix comprising a first component; a plurality of inclusions comprising a second component, wherein the first component is a low-surface-energy polymer having a surface energy, and the second component is a hygroscopic material containing one or more ionic species. The low-surface-energy polymer and the hygroscopic material are chemically connected ionically or covalently, such as in a segmented copolymer composition comprising fluoropolymer soft segments and ionic species contained within the soft segments. The continuous matrix and the inclusions form a lubricating surface layer in the presence of humidity. Coefficient-of-friction experimental data is presented for various sample coatings. The incorporation of ionic species into the polymer chain backbone increases the hygroscopic behavior of the overall structure. Improvement in lubrication enables material to be cleared from a surface using the natural motion of an automotive or aerospace vehicle.
URETHANE ACRYLIC HYBRID POLYMER DISPERSION WITH ROBUST DRY/WET ADHESION AND BASECOATS PREPARED THEREFROM
This invention relates to urethane acrylic hybrid polymer dispersion with robust dry/wet adhesion and the basecoats prepared therefrom for automotive applications. In this system, the polyurethane dispersion (PUD) prepolymer is based on a combination of polyols and aliphatic diisocyanates. The acrylic portion is based on (meth)acrylated monomers. A combination of this hybrid polymer dispersion and other resins having defined glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) values, organic and/or inorganic rheology modifiers, and different additives including pigment, dispersant, and defoamer are used to prepare waterborne basecoats having modified appearance and performance. The final coatings show excellent dry/wet adhesion to the primer for automotive applications.
MATTED POLYAMIDE-PUD
Polymers are disclosed that incorporate portions of secondary or tertiary polyamide segments connected with polyisocyanates. These polymers have enhanced matting properties. The enhanced matting properties are from creating an inherently matt surface from the polymer without the use of any separate fine particle size matting additives. Conventional matting agents such as fine particle size silica usually results in loss of physical properties such as haze development and porosity in the coating from the matting agent. Composites and hybrids of these polymers and other polyamides, polyurethane with vinyl polymers (acrylates) are also disclosed and claimed.
MIXING SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING AQUEOUS COATING AGENTS WITH A LOW VOC
Described herein is a mixer system for producing aqueous coating materials from at least one aqueous pigment paste A, including at least one color pigment, and at least one pigment-free component B, including an aqueous, acrylate-based microgel dispersion having a glass transition temperature T.sub.g of 50 to 60° C., where both the aqueous pigment paste A and the component B each have a VOC value of less than or equal to 250 g/L. Further described herein is a method for producing aqueous coating materials having a VOC content of 0 to 250 g/L, in which the individual components A and B are stored separately and not mixed until shortly before application, to give the aqueous coating material. Further described herein is a method of using the mixer system for producing aqueous coating materials for refinishing and/or for coating automobile bodies and/or plastics parts.
METAL POLYOLS FOR USE IN A POLYURETHANE POLYMER
The present disclosure provides for a metal chelated polyol liquid and/or a metal chelated polyether polyol liquid that can be used in an isocyanate-reactive composition and a reaction mixture for forming a polyurethane polymer. The metal chelated polyester polyol liquid is a reaction product of a chelating polyester polyol having a chelating moiety and a metal compound having a metal ion. The metal chelated polyether polyol liquid is a reaction product of a chelating polyether polyol having a chelating moiety and a metal compound having a metal ion. The chelating moiety of the chelating polyester polyol or the chelating polyether polyol chelates the metal ion to form the metal chelated polyester polyol liquid or the metal chelated polyether polyol liquid, respectively, having a mole ratio of the metal ion to the chelating moiety of 0.05:1 to 2:1.
