CHROME FREE COATING COMPOSITION HAVING EXCELLENT BLACKENING RESISTANCE AND CORROSION RESISTANCE, AND SURFACE-TREATED STEEL SHEET
The present invention provides a chromium-free coating composition having high blackening resistance and corrosion resistance, the composition comprising: 20 to 70 wt % of waterborne silane modified polyurethane; 0.5 to 5 wt % of a hardener; 0.5 to 5 wt % of a blackening inhibitor; 0.5 to 5 wt % of a corrosion inhibitor; and 0.5 to 5 wt % of a lubricant, with the balance being a solvent. The chromium-free coating composition has the effect of improving blackening resistance, corrosion resistance, alkali resistance, solvent resistance and fingerprint resistance of a steel sheet on which a coating layer comprising the composition is formed.
ALKOXYSILANE-FUNCTIONALIZED ALLOPHANATES
The present invention relates to alkoxysilane-functionalized allophanates, to methods for production thereof, and to the use thereof. In particular, the alkoxysilane-functionalized allophanate includes the reaction product of A) at least one alkoxysilane group-containing monourethane A) of the formula 1

where R, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently hydrocarbyl radicals having 1-8 carbon atoms, which may be linear, branched or cyclic, or else may be integrated together to form a cyclic system, and n is 0-2, and B) at least one diisocyanate B), in a molar ratio of A) to B) of 3:1 to 1.5:1.
AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE ACRYLATE HYBRID DISPERSIONS
The present invention relates to processes for the manufacture of aqueous polyurethane/acrylic hybrid dispersions that can be used as adhesives or coatings, are solvent free and have low VOC emissions, and are environmentally friendly. Also encompassed are the dispersions as such, compositions containing them and their use as coatings and adhesives.
AQUEOUS POLYURETHANE DISPERSION AND TEXTILE
An aqueous polyurethane dispersion and a textile are provided. The aqueous polyurethane dispersion includes water and a bio-based polyurethane. The bio-based polyurethane includes bio-based polyester polyol, hydrophilic polyol, isocyanate, and hydrophilic compound. A weight ratio of the bio-based polyester polyol to the hydrophilic polyol is 2.7:1 to 5.3:1.
AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION WITH SOFT TOUCH UPON DRYING
The present invention relates to an aqueous coating composition comprising dispersed polymer particles, wherein (i) the dispersed polymer particles are polyurethane-vinyl polymer hybrid particles obtained by free-radical polymerization of at least one vinyl monomer in the presence of a polyurethane, (ii) the polyurethane and the vinyl polymer in the hybrid particles are present in a weight ratio of polyurethane to vinyl polymer ranging from 1:1 to 20:1, (iii) the polyurethane is the reaction product of at least the following components: (a) from 5 to 40 wt. % of at least one organic difunctional isocyanate, (b) from 0.5 to 4 wt. % of an isocyanate-reactive compound containing ionic or potentially ionic water-dispersing groups having a molecular weight of from 100 to 500 g/mol, (c) from 40 to 80 wt. % of at least one diol having a molecular weight from 500 to 5000, (d) from 0 to 10 wt. % of at least one active-hydrogen chain extending compound with a functionality of at least 2 (other than water), (e) from 0 to 10 wt. % of at least one diol having a molecular weight below 500 g/mol, where the amounts of (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) are given relative to the total amount of components used to prepare the polyurethane from which the building blocks of the polyurethane are emanated, and where the isocyanate and hydroxy groups on the components used to prepare the polyurethane are present in a respective mole ratio (NCO to OH) in the range of from 0.8:1 to 5:1, preferably from 1.05:1 to 5:1 and even more preferably from 1.1:1 to 3.5:1.
WATERBORNE CROSSLINKER COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a multi-aziridine crosslinker composition, characterized in that the multi-aziridine crosslinker composition is an aqueous dispersion having a pH ranging from 8 to 14 and comprises a multi-aziridine compound in dispersed form, wherein said multi-aziridine compound has: a. from 2 to 6 of the following structural units A: whereby R.sub.1 is H, R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 are independently chosen from H or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R a is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, m is 1, b. one or more linking chains wherein each one of these linking chains links two of the structural units A; and c. a molecular weight in the range from 500 to 10000 Daltons wherein the molecular weight is determined using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry according to the description.

AQUEOUS ADHESIVE DISPERSION CONTAINING POLYURETHANES AND ETHOXYLATED FATTY ALCOHOLS
Described are aqueous adhesive dispersions comprising dispersed polyurethanes and also ethoxylated fatty alcohols as emulsifiers. The polyurethanes are constructed from certain organic diisocyanates, dihydroxy compounds selected from certain polyester diols and polyether diols, and compounds having groups reactive toward isocyanate groups and having at least one ionic group. The adhesive dispersions can be used as laminating adhesives, for example for composite film lamination or for the lamination of rigid moldings with flexible decorative foils.
Graphene-enabled anti-corrosion coating
Provided is a graphene-based aqueous coating suspension comprising multiple graphene sheets, particles of an anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal, and a waterborne binder resin dissolved or dispersed in water, wherein the multiple graphene sheets contain single-layer or few-layer graphene sheets selected from a pristine graphene material having essentially zero % of non-carbon elements, or a non-pristine graphene material having 0.001% to 47% by weight of non-carbon elements wherein the non-pristine graphene is selected from graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene, chemically functionalized graphene, or a combination thereof and wherein the coating suspension does not contain a silicate binder or microspheres dispersed therein. Also provided is an object or structure coated at least in part with such a coating.
SHEET-LIKE ARTICLE
A sheet like article produced from a polyurethane resin has a carbonate group and an oxycarbonyl group as ester groups and has uniform, elegant surface quality, a flexible, highly crease recoverable texture, and high resistance to light and hydrolysis, and also provided is a production method therefore. The sheet like article is produced by adding, as a binder, a polyurethane resin that meets requirements (I) and (II) to a fibrous base material formed mainly of ultrafine fibers: (I) a polyurethane resin such that the polyurethane resin contains, in its interior, an oxycarbonyl group and a carbonate group as ester groups; (II) a polyurethane resin such that the sum of the content of the urethane group and the content of the urea group in the polyurethane resin is 7.0 to 11.0 mass %.
Aqueous dispersion of polyurethane resin, flame-retardant polyester fiber using the same, and method for producing said fiber
An aqueous dispersion of polyurethane resin is obtained by a chain elongation reaction in water wherein (C) at least one chain extender selected from a group consisting of water-soluble polyamines, hydrazine and derivatives thereof is added to a dispersion liquid obtained by emulsifying and dispersing a mixture in water. The mixture comprises: (B) at least one compound selected from the phosphorous compounds represented by the following formula (1) and (A) an urethane prepolymer and/or a neutralized urethane prepolymer material which has an isocyanate group at the terminal. The urethane prepolymer of component (A) is an urethane prepolymer obtained from (a1) an organic polyisocyanate and (a2) a polymeric polyol. The neutralized urethane prepolymer material of component (A) is a neutralized material obtained by neutralizing an urethane prepolymer which is obtained by further using (a3) a compound having an anionic hydrophilic group and at least two active hydrogens in a molecule together with the components (a1) and (a2).
