The present invention relates a bag for capturing bodily fluids. The bag comprises a body, wherein the body is a resealable body having a resealing means configured at one edge thereof, the resealing means include a press fit seal; a capturing means coupled to the body for capturing the bodily fluid and allow the bodily fluid to be collected within the body, wherein the capturing means is a catheter, and the bodily fluid that the catheter captures is urine; an absorbing means disposed within the body to receive the bodily fluid and convert the bodily fluid into a gel, thereby preventing the leakage out of the body, wherein the absorbing means is an absorbent pad, and the absorbent pad is made of super absorbent polymers; and a strap means for making the bag wearable on the human body.

STOMA COVER FOR COVERING A STOMA DURING AN EXCHANGE OF AN OSTOMY APPLIANCE

A stoma cover includes a hood and an adjustment band. The hood extends between a proximal end and a closed distal end. The adjustment band is connected to the proximal end. The adjustment band allows the hood to adjust between a first open size at the proximal end that is sized for placement over the stoma and a second size that is smaller than the first open size. The second size is adapted to secure the hood relative to a root portion of the stoma. A moisture absorbing material is disposed inside of the hood, where the moisture absorbing material is provided to absorb stomal output exuding from a meatus of the stoma.

A sanitary hand-held disposable portable urinal device is well suited for male use. In an embodiment, this easy to use device has a leak and splash resistant flexible, sealable opening that is attached to two flexible transparent plastic bags. In an embodiment, bags are nested inside of each other and are joined together to provide entry only to the inner bag. The bags are odor and vapor sealable and made of a hydrophobic polymer that may be biodegradable. In the space between the two bags a dry gel polymer is present. After the urine is collected in the inner bag the top of the bag is sealed. The contents of the inner bag are then exposed to the space containing the gel through a water soluble, or mechanical means. After use, the disposable urinal may be discarded.

SECUREMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLUID COLLECTION ASSEMBLIES

Embodiments disclosed herein are fluid collection assemblies including one or more securement elements and methods for collecting fluids with the fluid collection assemblies. In an embodiment, a fluid collection assembly includes a fluid collection device and means for securing the fluid collection device to the user with a fluid permeable body of the fluid collection device positioned proximate to the urethra of the user through the opening in a fluid impermeable barrier of the fluid collection device.

Urine collection device, system, and method

A urinary collection device includes an outer surface and a generally fluid-permeable core that communicates fluidically with an aspiration tube. The outer surface includes an obverse opening to allow urine to flow into the fluid-permeable core when the device is positioned supralabially. On the reverse may be an actuatable fastener configured to retain the device in a reverse-folded intralabial position. In this manner the device may be placed supralabially or intralabially for urine collection as appropriate. The core may include a first knit fabric layer and a second knit fabric layer joined by a plurality of fibers, the fibers being oriented generally to extend from an obverse to a reverse position to thereby result in flow channels through the core.

SUCTION CATHETER

Disclosed herein are embodiments of an external catheter that may be made of soft and flexible medical-grade silicone (or other suitable) material. The catheter is designed to be gentle on the skin and easy to use for men who need a non-invasive option for managing urinary incontinence. The silicone material used may be hypoallergenic, latex-free, and not contain any phthalates or BPA. Moreover, it may be securely attached to a person without requiring any shaving of the affected area. This provides for an easy attachment and for quick removal.

FLUID REMOVAL DEVICE

A urine removal device includes a pouch with a proximal opening that provides access to an internal compartment of the pouch that is suitable to contain urine. A fluid diverter system is disposed inside of the pouch and extends from the proximal portion of the pouch, where it interfaces via an outlet conduit member to the environment outside of the pouch, to the distal end of the pouch where it draws in urine from the pouch. The pouch has at least one air port to allow air flow through the device to support suction that is applied inside of the pouch. The fluid diverter system has at least one conduit member configured to draw urine from the distal portion of the pouch up to the proximal end of the pouch, and into the outlet conduit member where it exits the fluid collection device.
