ADULT MALE DISPOSABLE INCONTINENCE SYSTEM
Disclosed embodiments relate to a collection device for bodily fluids comprising a tubular material with a first end and second end. A portion of the first end is configured to be secured to a user and the tubular material may be folded over itself to form a first sheath. In some applications, the fluid collection devices described may be secured to a user using stretch tape and a hook and loop connector.
ENHANCED COMFORT DEVICE FOR MALE INCONTINENCE
An enhanced comfort device for male incontinence has an open end and a distal tip portion. A securing portion is disposed along the open end and provides a securing force to removably and comfortable secure the device on a user's penis. The distal tip portion covers the glans of the user's penis and an absorbent is placed on an inner surface of the tip portion and absorbs any discharges such as urine to provide comfort without embarrassment to the user. The absorbent may be replaceable or the entire device may be discarded in a disposable embodiment. The securing portion may be made of an elastic material or the securing portion may a folded over portion of the sleeve material. A color indicator may be placed on the tip portion to indicate a medical condition. The color indicator may test for one condition or more medical conditions.
Male incontinence fluid capturing device and methods
A fluid capturing device is described herein that can contain and manage urine or other secretions that may be emitted from a penis. The fluid capturing device can include a sheath that conforms to at least part of the penis. For example, the sheath can include a proximal portion that covers at least a part of the shaft of the penis and a distal portion that covers at least a part of the head of the penis. In addition, the fluid capturing device can include an absorbent that can absorb the excretions or emissions from the penis. The absorbent can be removed and replaced from the sheath, including while the sheath is at least partially secured to the penis.
Ostomy Pouch Replacement Device
An ostomy pouch replacement device is provided to allow ostomates with a surgically created stoma to collect, contain and dispose of bodily fluids during frequent hygienic maintenance. The device is customizable to each ostomate's unique stoma diameter and provides a disposable waste receptacle designed to have a hollow absorbent section and a solid absorbent section for sanitary, discreet and odorless disposal of both urine and excrement. The device preferably consists of a disposable waste receptacle that may be positioned over the stoma and further includes an absorbent inner material for capturing any waste that may be discharged, a push cap for pressing the absorbent material to the stoma, a cap or plug for sealing the device after use, and a collar stand for pressing an adhesive wafer to the skin and for holding the assembled device in an upright position.
Ostomy bag with a compacted sheath
There is provided a disposable ostomy bag assembly (1) comprising a bag (3) for receiving bodily waste materials; a compactable sheath (2) for closing and sealing the bag (3) after use; and a flange (4) for securing the assembly to the body of a patent and provided with an orifice to enable bodily waste to be received by the bag (3). The ostomy assembly (1) solves the problem of escaping malodor and bodily waste when the patient detaches the ostomy bag from the body (face plate (5)). The compactable sheath (2) can be stretched to acquire a cylindrical sheath (2) extending from the flange (4), whereby the sheath (2) may be closed in order to seal the contents of the bag (3). Closing the sheath (2) may simply be done by tying a knot (6).
Disposable ostomy bag
An ostomy bag (1) for receiving bodily waste comprising; an outer protective pouch (3) comprising a laminated material with an outer layer of water-impermeable material (15) and an inner layer of water-soluble material (13); an inner waste-collecting pouch (5) enclosed within the outer protective pouch (3) comprising a laminated material with an outer layer of water-soluble material (9) and an inner layer of water-impermeable material (7), and means (23) defining an orifice (19) to enable bodily waste to enter the inner pouch (5); wherein the outer protective pouch (3) is removeably sealed and both the outer protective pouch (3) and inner waste-collecting pouch (5) are of a structure which is weakened upon immersion in a toilet bowl to both become less buoyant such that the bag (1) can be flushed away.
Ventriculostomy Patch System and Method
A ventriculostomy patch system includes a base-ring and a window assembly.
Systems and methods for disposable urinals
A urinal can include a body defining a front end, a rear end opposite the front end, and an internal volume. The body can include an opening fluidly coupled to the internal volume of the body and positioned at the front end of the body. The urinal can include a handle integrally formed with the body. The handle can have a free end that can extend away from the front end of the body towards the rear end of the body. The urinal can include a recess directed into a bottom end of the body. The recess can be configured to receive a second handle of a second urinal.
Vaginal fluid absorption and odor reduction
A device includes a shell including a proximal end and a distal end of the shell. The device also includes a plunger within the shell. The plunger can include a flexible stop at a proximal end of the plunger and a distal end. The device can further include an absorptive unit configured to absorb fluid within a vaginal cavity. The absorptive unit can be affixed to the distal end of the plunger. The absorptive unit can include an absorptive element affixed to a frame structure configurable to reversibly transition between a compressed and uncompressed configuration. The absorptive unit can also include a tether coupled to the absorptive unit via the frame structure. The tether can extend through the proximal end of the plunger. Related methods of use are also described.
Ostomy Wafer Cover Device
An ostomy wafer cover device is disclosed, which is an ostomy wafer protection device that provides a sanitary, waterproof cover designed to protect the skin from maceration and the wafer from contamination during the removal of an ostomy pouch. The ostomy pouch cover device comprises a body component that is configured to cover an ostomy wafer. The body component includes a circular through hole which is sized and shaped to be positioned over the wafer of the ostomy pouch. The body component can have a slit or partial opening at the top to allow for easy insertion of the device onto the wafer and ostomy pouch. The body component also comprises adhesive to allow it to easily adhere to the ostomy pouch during use. Further, the body component is made of a flexible, waterproof material.
