Coating Composition with Rheology Modifier
A coating composition including a rheology modifier is described. The rheology modifier is a water-soluble polyurethane made by the condensation of a poly(alkylene glycol), a polyisocyanate and a compound including a polyalkoxylated chain and a hydrophobic end group. The composition demonstrates Leneta sag resistance of greater than about 14 and a Leneta flow and leveling of at least about 9, and a Stormer viscosity of less than about 120 Krebs units.

The present invention relates to the use of aqueous hybrid dispersions, wherein (a) an aqueous polyurethane dispersion is prepared and (b) said polyurethane dispersion is used as raw material for the additional synthesis of a polyacrylate dispersion and the resulting hybrid dispersion is used as binder in filled coating materials, in particular, as binder for the flexible roof coating.
Urethane-type polymers and use thereof
A urethane polymer obtained by a reaction of: a monohydroxy compound (A), a polyethylene glycol (B), a monoglyceryl ether compound (C), and an isocyanate compound (D). This urethane polymer can be used as a urethane viscosity modifier excellent in long-term storage stability, similarly to alkali thickening-type viscosity modifiers, while having characteristics similar to those of existing urethane viscosity modifiers.

The present invention provides an aqueous polyurethane (PU)-polyacrylate hybrid dispersion obtainable by free radical polymerization of at least one acrylate polymer (A1) in the presence of at least one polyurethane (P1), a process for preparing these aqueous polyurethane-polyacrylate hybrid dispersions, wherein said process comprises a) preparing an aqueous polyurethane dispersion and b) using the polyurethane dispersion thus prepared as raw material for the further synthesis of a polyacrylate dispersion, and the use of the hybrid dispersion thus obtained as binder in filled coating materials, particularly as a binder for flexible roof coatings.
Dendritic polyurea for solubilizing active substances of low solubility
The present invention provides a composition comprising an amphiphile and an active ingredient whose solubility in water at 20° C. is not more than 10 g/L, wherein the amphiphile comprises a dendritic polyurea which is joined to at least one linear or comb-type polymer, and the joining is effected via a difunctional linker, if the repeat units of the linear polymer are composed of polymerized alkylene oxide. The invention also relates to an amphiphile comprising a dendritic polyurea and a process for preparing the amphiphile.

The eyewear material is an eyewear material containing thermoplastic polyurethane. The eyewear material has a tan δ peak at both less than 0° C. and 0° C. or more and 70° C. or less observed in dynamic viscoelasticity measurement in tensile mode under the measurement conditions of a temperature increase speed of 5° C./min and a measurement frequency of 10 Hz.

Method of adjusting the tack value of a binder composition
The present invention is directed to a method for adjusting the tack value of a binder material formed from a composition comprising an emulsion wherein the emulsion comprises water and an emulsifiable pre-polymer and wherein the emulsifiable pre-polymer is the reaction product of (i) an isocyanate compound, (ii) a polyol compound, and (iii) a monol compound, the method comprising adjusting the reactive group ratio of component (i) to (ii) to achieve a tack value ranging from 1 to 4 as measured by the TACK TEST METHOD.
