FLUID COLLECTION ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING ONE OR MORE MOVEMENT ENHANCING FEATURES
An example fluid collection assembly (100) includes a fluid impermeable barrier (102) defining at least one opening (104), a chamber (106) in fluid communication with the at least one opening (104), and at least one fluid outlet (108). The fluid collection assembly (100) also includes at least one porous material (110) disposed in the chamber (106). The fluid collection assembly (100) also includes at least one conduit (112) attached to the fluid outlet (108). The fluid collection assembly (100) includes one or more movement enhancing features (118).
OSTOMY MANAGEMENT DEVICE
An ostomy management device (100) including an ostomy port (102) insertable inside a stoma (202) on a patient's abdomen. The ostomy port (102) includes an outer flange (204) placed at periphery of the stoma (202). The outer flange (204) includes a collapsible chamber (210) to collect instilling fluid in a non-operating state of the outer flange (204). A fixation element (208) to anchor the ostomy management device (100) inside an intestine (214). The fixation element (208) is to expand after displacement of the instilling fluid contained in the outer flange (204) to the fixation element (208). An intermediate channel (206) to transport body waste to the stoma (202). A stoma plug (106), attached to the outer flange (204), to cover an opening in the outer flange (204) to stop the body waste from flowing out from the stoma (202) during an operating state of the outer flange (204).
HOLDER FOR A STOMA DRESSING
A holder for a stoma dressing including an envelope enclosing a space in which the stoma dressing can be placed, and a heating means for heating the stoma dressing adapted to uniformly and completely heat the stoma dressing prior to application around a stoma wound.
Device for catching urine sample
A urine collection device for collecting a sterile urine sample. The urine collection device may include a seat portion supported by a seat base. The portion includes a backrest and a saddle that projects from the seat portion. The saddle has an opening to a collection element that includes a cup mount to locate a urine collection cup within the collection element.
OSTOMY APPLIANCE
An ostomy appliance having a releasable receptacle for concealing an ostomy bag where the receptacle is asymmetrical and includes an enlarged cavity portion and expandable portion located below the stoma which provides additional area into which the bag may unroll as waste collects therein. In an alternate embodiment there is no bag and waste collects directly into the receptacle.
OSTOMY SYSTEM BASE PLATE INCLUDING ELECTRICAL TERMINALS AND A COUPLING PART ATTACHABLE TO A MONITOR DEVICE
A base plate for an ostomy system includes a monitor interface having a plurality of terminals for electrical coupling of a monitor device to the base plate and a coupling part to attach the base plate to the monitor device.
FEMALE EXTERNAL CATHETER DEVICES HAVING A URETHRAL CUP, AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Examples relate to fluid collection devices having a urethral cup, and related systems and methods. A fluid collection device includes a funnel, a body, a chamber outlet, and a fluid permeable structure. The funnel has a mouth with an outer periphery and narrows to a base defining an opening. The body includes a proximal end region and a distal end region distal to the funnel, and defines a chamber in fluid communication with the opening at the base of the funnel and extending from the opening beyond the outer periphery of the mouth of the funnel to the distal end region. The chamber outlet is in fluid communication with the chamber and positioned at the distal end region of the body. The fluid permeable structure is positioned within the chamber of the elongated body, and fills at least a portion of the chamber between the opening and the chamber outlet.
FEMALE FLUID REMOVAL DEVICE
A urine removal device includes a plurality of layers suitable to capture and transfer urine. A conduit system is disposed inside of the device and extends from the proximal portion of the device, where it interfaces via an outlet conduit member, to the distal end of the device where it draws in urine from the device. The device allows air flow through the device to support suction that is applied. The fluid layer system has at least one conduit configured to draw urine from the distal portion of the device up to the proximal end of the device, and into the outlet conduit where it exits the urine removal device.
DATA COLLECTION SCHEMES FOR AN OSTOMY APPLIANCE AND RELATED METHODS
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a monitor device for an ostomy system. The monitor device comprises: a processor, memory; and a first interface connected to the processor and the memory. The first interface comprises a plurality of terminals and a data collector. The plurality of terminals includes a first terminal that forms an electrical connection with a first electrode of an ostomy appliance of the ostomy system and a second terminal that forms an electrical connection with a second electrode of the ostomy appliance. The data collector is coupled to the first terminal and the second terminal and comprises a data collection controller configured to collect data from the plurality of terminals according to a primary data collection scheme and collect data from the plurality of terminals according to a secondary data collection scheme. The primary data collection scheme is different from the secondary data collection scheme.
Ostomy base plate having valleys of relatively lower adhesive thickness and ridges of relatively higher adhesive thickness
An ostomy base plate has undulations formed in an adhesive composition to provide the adhesive composition with valleys of relatively lower adhesive thickness and ridges of relatively higher adhesive thickness.
