CLINICAL GARMENT FOR INFANTS
20220346463 · 2022-11-03 ·

An interactive one-piece pantsuit is provided for wear by an infant/toddler, when a medical device has been surgically implanted into the infant/toddler. For this purpose, the pantsuit acts as a protective garment which normally covers and protects extracorporeal components of the medical device. The garment, however, includes flaps which are positioned at key locations on the garment over the extracorporeal components of the medical device. These flaps can then be selectively raised to temporarily provide a caregiver with the necessary access to the medical device for operational or maintenance purposes.

20220347004 · 2022-11-03 ·

Embodiments are directed towards fluid collection assemblies that include at least one length adjusting feature, fluid collection assemblies including the same, and methods of using the same. An example fluid collection assembly includes a fluid impermeable barrier. The fluid impermeable barrier includes a distal region, at least one distal end region spaced from the distal region, and at least one intermediate portion extending from the distal region to the distal region. The fluid impermeable barrier also defines at least one length adjusting feature (“LAF”) extending from the distal end region to the distal region. The LAF allows the length of the fluid collection assembly to change. The ability of the fluid collection assembly to change the length thereof allows a penis of a patient to be disposed in preferential locations within the fluid collection assembly.

The method comprises positioning a coupling part, the coupling part defining a terminal interface region; positioning an electrode assembly having a distal side and a proximal side, wherein the electrode assembly is positioned such that the distal side of the electrode assembly is facing the coupling part, the electrode assembly comprises a support layer and one or more electrodes provided on a proximal side of the support layer, each of the one or more electrodes comprising a connection part; and inserting one or more terminal elements through the electrode assembly.

Ostomy appliance having a lubricating edge
11484432 · 2022-11-01 · ·

An ostomy appliance has a base plate and a convex element. The base plate includes a film and an adhesive disposed on a proximal surface of the film, with the convex element attached to a distal surface of the film. A first hole is formed in the base plate and a second hole is formed in the convex element and co-axially aligned with the first hole. The second hole defines an inner perimeter edge that provides a lubricating edge that changes from a solid state to a semi-liquid state when exposed to moisture.

Base plate and a sensor assembly part for an ostomy appliance

A base plate and/or a sensor assembly part for an ostomy appliance is disclosed, the base plate and/or the sensor assembly part comprising a first adhesive layer with a proximal side configured for attachment of the base plate and/or the sensor assembly part to the skin surface of a user, the first adhesive layer having a stomal opening with a center point; and a plurality of electrodes including a ground electrode, a first electrode, and a second electrode, the ground electrode comprising a ground connection part, the first electrode comprising a first connection part, and the second electrode comprising a second connection part; wherein the ground electrode forms a ground for the first electrode and the second electrode.

Device and method for cleaning excrements

The present disclosure disclosed a device and a method for cleaning excrements. The device comprises a cleaning machine, an outer cover an inner body. The outer cover is wearable to a person and is coupled to the inner body. The inner body comprises at least one sensor and a cleaning assembly. The sensor is configured for sensing excrement and triggering the cleaning machine to collect the excrement through the tube. The cleaning assembly is connected to the cleaning machine and is configured for cleaning the person. The method comprises acts of cleaning excrement based on the modes and the excrement sensed result. Therefore, the present disclosure is able to assist people without autonomy to clean up excrements in a comfortable manner without others help.

A COLLECTING DEVICE
20230091863 · 2023-03-23 ·

A collection pouch for bodily fluids/waste has a plurality of flexible polymer film layers. At least two layers form a collecting bag for containing bodily fluids/waste, with front and rear walls formed from the film layers. An opening is formed in the rear wall of the bag for receiving bodily fluids/waste. A flexible material cover covers the collecting bag and a peripheral bonding seam extends along an upper edge the apparatus that bonds at least part of the bag and cover together. One or more strengthening elements are formed by a region of bonding between a film layer at the upper end of the pouch and the cover. The strengthening elements are at the upper end of the pouch inwardly of the peripheral bonding seam and strengthen the upper section to maintain the shape of the upper end of the pouch and inhibit sagging as the collecting bag is filled.

URINE COLLECTION DEVICES ADJUSTABLE BETWEEN COMPACT AND EXTENDED CONFIGURATIONS, AND RELATED METHODS

Examples relate to devices, systems, and methods for fluid collection such as urine. In an embodiment, the urine collection device includes a fluid impermeable barrier and fluid permeable structure. The fluid impermeable barrier is adjustable between an extended configuration and a compact configuration. The fluid impermeable barrier at least partially defines a chamber, an aperture configured to receive a conduit therethrough, and an opening. The fluid permeable structure positioned within the chamber to extend across at least a portion of the opening. The fluid permeable structure configured to wick fluid away from the opening.

APPLIANCE INTERFACE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR LIQUID INGRESS DETECTION IN THE APPLIANCE INTERFACE

An electronic system comprising an appliance interface and an electronic device couplable to the appliance interface is disclosed. The appliance interface comprises at least one primary appliance terminal, a reference appliance terminal, and a dielectric region separating the at least one primary appliance terminal and the reference appliance terminal. The electronic device comprises at least one primary device terminal configured to connect to the at least one primary appliance terminal, and a reference device terminal configured to connect to the reference appliance terminal. The electronic device is configured to generate and apply an electrical reference signal to the reference appliance terminal and to detect an electrical primary signal from the at least one primary appliance terminal.
