Polyols derived from farnesene for polyurethanes
A composition is provided for making a polyurethane that may be incorporated in various products, such as a sealant, a coating, a caulk, an electric potting compound, a membrane, a sponge, a foam, an adhesives, and a propellant binder. The composition includes one or more polyols, one or more isocyanate-group containing compounds having an isocyanate group functionality of at least two, and optionally one or more chain extenders. At least one of the polyols is a farnesene-based polyol having a number average molecular weight less than or equal to 100,000 g/mol and a viscosity at 25? C. less than 10,000 cP. The farnesene-based polyol may be a homopolymer or a copolymer of farnesene. The composition may also comprise additional polyols, such as a polyol of a homopolymer or copolymer of a polydiene. Methods of preparing a polyurethane are also provided.

Described are a method of producing polyurethane foam comprising polyolefin-based polyols by using an additive composition comprising at least one ionic surfactant A selected from ionic surfactants of formula A.sup.M.sup.+, where A.sup.=anion selected from the group consisting of alkyl sulphates, aryl sulphates, sulphonates, polyether sulphates, polyether sulphonates, alkyl sulphonates, aryl sulphonates, alkyl carboxylates, aryl carboxylates, saccharinates and polyether phosphates, and M.sup.+=cation, and/or at least one ionic surfactant B selected from a quaternized ammonium compound, and also at least a tertiary amine compound C having a molar mass of at least 150 g/mol, and/or an oxazasilinane D, and also polyurethane foams thus obtained and their use.
Using a polyol mixture comprising PBD for creating a PU-based artificial turf
A method of manufacturing an artificial turf includes creating fluid polyurethane mass. The creation including reacting first and second polyols with an isocyanate. The first polyol is a polyether polyol and/or a polyester polyol having at least 2 hydroxyl groups per molecule, the second polyol being polybutadien diol. The isocyanate including isocyanate monomers, isocyanate polymers or isocyanate prepolymers or a mixture thereof, the isocyanate monomers, isocyanate polymers and the isocyanate prepolymers having two or more isocyanate groups per molecule. The method further includes incorporating an artificial turf fiber into a carrier such that a first portion of the fiber protrudes to the front side of the carrier and that a second portion of the fiber is located at the back side of the carrier, adding the fluid polyurethane mass on the back side of the carrier, and hardening the fluid polyurethane mass.

[Problem] An problem of the present invention is to provide to a (meth)acrylamide-based urethane oligomer which has excellent compatibility with organic solvents, general purpose acrylic monomers and oligomers, and a high curing speed to active energy rays, and to provide an active energy ray curable resin composition which contains the urethane oligomer, has excellent adhesion, moisture resistance and surface curability, and has low curing shrinkage, and a formed product thereof [Means for Solution] By using a (meth)acrylamide-based urethane oligomer of the present invention which has a carbonate skeleton, a diene-based skeleton or a hydrogenated diene-based skeleton in the molecule, one or more (meth)acrylamide groups and a component having a molecular weight of less than 1,000 (excluding a (meth)acrylamide compound (A) having a hydroxyl group) at a content of 5% by weight or less, it is possible to obtain a urethane oligomer which has excellent compatibility with organic solvents, general purpose acrylic monomers and oligomers, and a high curability and to obtain an active energy ray curable resin composition which contains the urethane oligomer and has excellent adhesion, tack resistance, moisture resistance and shrinkage resistance.
POLYOLS DERIVED FROM FARNESENE FOR POLYURETHANES

Methods of preparing a polyurethane are also provided.
Polyurethane Elastomeric Composition And Method Of Preparing The Same
A polyurethane elastomeric composition includes the reaction product of an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component. The isocyanate-reactive component includes a polydiene polyol present in the isocyanate-reactive component in an amount of greater than 0 and less than about 95 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the isocyanate-reactive component. The polydiene polyol has an average hydroxy functionality of no greater than about 3 and a number average molecular weight of from about 1000 to less than about 2000 g/mol.
Polyurethane Coating Composition
A polymer useful in coating compositions is described. The polymer is preferably an unsaturated polyurethane polymer, which preferably has an iodine value of at least 10. The polymer may be combined with one or more liquid carriers to form a liquid coating composition useful in coating a variety of substrates, including planar metal substrates.

The present invention relates to a transparent and abrasion resistant polyurethane elastomer prepared from a polyurethane composition under a mold pressure of 1-5 ton, wherein the polyurethane composition comprises: a) an isocyanate component comprising one or more organic polyisocyanates; b) an isocyanate-reactive component comprising: b1) polyester polyol, polyether polyol or a combination thereof; b2) one or more aliphatic diols having a molecular weight of less than 200 and an amount of 0.1-3.5 wt. %, based on 100 wt. % by weight of the isocyanate-reactive component; c) a polydiene, which is prepared by homopolymerization or copolymerization of aliphatic diene having 4-10 carbon atoms.

A method for making an artificial turf, the method comprising: providing a carrier (308) and an artificial turf fiber (501) incorporated into the carrier such that a first portion of the artificial turf fiber (506) protrudes to a back side of the carrier, a second portion of the artificial turf fiber (302) protrudes to a front side of the carrier, and a third portion of the artificial turf fiber (504) is inside the carrier; preparing a polyurethane (PU) foam reaction mixture (210) containing a reactive foam stabilizer (RFS), applying the PU foam reaction mixture on the back side of the carrier (308) to cover the artificial turf fiber (506) protruding to the back side of the carrier (308) and hardening the PU foam reaction mixture to form a flexible PU backing securing the turf fiber in place.
