Vaginal ring with visual indication of use
The disclosure provides biomedical devices comprising indicator agents sensitive to the environment of use, methods of using same to enhance adherence to a treatment or usage regimen, and systems for monitoring compliance of use of the biomedical device. The biomedical device may be an intravaginal ring comprised of biocompatible polymeric material having indicator agent incorporated therein capable of producing a detectable change in response to a stimulus within the vaginal environment.

DEVICE AND METHOD TO OPTIMIZE THE FORM AND FUNCTION OF A PESSARY
A device for modeling a pessary is disclosed. A matrix of individually expandable balloons are mounted around a shaft, which holds fill lines for each balloon. The balloons are expandable with fluid to a desired volume and/or pressure, according to comfort and fit determined by real-time patient feedback. Because the volumes and the positions of the balloons are known, a calculation of the dimensions of the vaginal canal can be made, so that the matrix of expandable balloons models the vaginal canal.

System for humidification of medical gases
A humidifier for delivering humidified gases to a patient includes an inlet, an outlet, a gases flow path extending from the inlet to the outlet, a permeable wall, a liquid reservoir, and a heater. The permeable wall separates the gases flow path from the liquid reservoir. The heater heats liquid stored in the liquid reservoir to form vapour, and the vapour passes through the permeable wall to the gases flow path to humidify gases in the gases flow path. Another inline humidifier for delivering humidified gases to a patient includes an inlet and an outlet and holds a tape made of hydrophilic or hygroscopic material. The tape is pre-soaked with water and can include a heating element. The heating element heats the tape and the stored water to release the stored water as vapour and thereby humidify gases passing through the inline humidifier.
DELAYING PRE-TERM BIRTH
A device for retarding birth, forming a lumen for surrounding a uterine cervix, the device including an upper ring for surrounding the uterine cervix, and an anchoring mechanism for anchoring the device on the cervix. A tool for inserting a device for retarding birth, the device including a device lumen for surrounding a uterine cervix, the tool including a plurality of rods attached to two rings, forming a longitudinal tool lumen, each rod including a connector for attaching to the device for retarding birth at a distal end of the rod, and a mechanism at a proximal end of the rod, for detaching the device for retarding birth at the distal end of the rod. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
EASILY REMOVABLE PESSARY DEVICE
A pessary device has a support portion, a stem and a loop attached to the stem to facilitate manipulation and control of the pessary device. The loop portion is flexible and provides a hole for receipt of a finger of the person inserting or removing the pessary device. The loop portion preferably includes a taper and/or a dimpled end to facilitate the use of a finger or an applicator for insertion of the device deeper into the vagina.
SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING BIRTH CONTROL
The present disclosure relates to a vaginal system that prevents pregnancy comprised of segesterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol and is configured for thirteen 28-day product-use cycles.
Hannah Cervical Cup
A cervical cup includes a body having a flange and a vacuum port so that application of a vacuum to the port will secure the cervical cup to a cervix disposed inside of the body of the cup. Example of the disclosed methodology to treat preterm birth includes inserting of a cervix into a cervical cup and applying a vacuum to a vacuum port of the cervical cup so as to secure the cervical cup to the cervix.
INTRAVAGINAL RING DEVICES
Disclosed herein are intravaginal ring (IVR) devices comprising barriers that may be metal, polymeric or combinations of metal and polymeric. The IVRs are useful for contraception, treating and/or preventing sexually transmitted diseases, and treating and/or preventing bacterial infections. The IVR's are resistant to distortion due to absorption of vaginal fluids. This allows the IVRs to perform better over time as compared to other intravaginal rings made with copolymeric silicone.
