EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDING MATERIAL FOR FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The purposes of the present invention are: to provide an epoxy resin composition having excellent impregnation into reinforcing fibers, excellent shapability under low-temperature conditions after thickening, and excellent heat resistance after curing; to provide a molding material for a fiber-reinforced composite material, said molding material having excellent shapability during handling and excellent fluidity during press molding; and to provide a fiber-reinforced composite material having excellent heat resistance and bending strength. To achieve the abovementioned purposes, the present invention provides an epoxy resin composition containing all of the following components (A)-(D), wherein: the content of the component (A), in terms of 100 mass % of the total mass of the epoxy resin composition, is 30-95 mass %; and the ratio Wc/Wd of the content We of the component (C) to the content Wd of the component (D) is 0.01-10. Component (A) is an epoxy resin; component (B) is a curing agent; component (C) is a diisocyanate compound having consecutive double bonds, an alicyclic structure or a heterocyclic structure; and component (D) is a polyisocyanate compound excluding the component (C).

The invention relates to an adhesive that can be produced from an aqueous polyurethane urea dispersion, containing an amorphous polyurethane urea, which can be obtained by reacting at least A) an aliphatic polyisocyanate component having an average isocyanate functionality of 1.8 and 2.6; B) a polymeric polyether polyol component; C) an amino-functional chain extender component having at least two isocyanate-reactive amino groups, containing at least one amino-functional compound C1) that has no ionic or ionogenic groups, and/or an amino-functional compound C2) that has ionic or ionogenic groups; D) optionally, further hydrophilizing components that are different from C2); E) optionally, hydroxy-functional compounds having a molecular weight of 62 to 399 mol/g; F) optionally, further polymeric polyols that are different from B); G) a compound that has exactly one isocyanate-reactive group, or a compound that has more than one isocyanate-reactive group, wherein only one of the isocyanate-reactive groups reacts with the isocyanate groups present in the reaction mixture under the selected reaction conditions; and H) optionally, an aliphatic polyisocyanate component having an average isocyanate functionality of >2.6 and 4, wherein together, the components B) and F) contain 30 wt % of component F) based on the total mass of components B) and F). The present invention relates to a process for the production of polyurethanes where (a) polyisocyanate, (b) polymeric compounds having groups reactive toward isocyanates, (c) catalysts, (d) polymer P formed from ethylenically unsaturated monomers and having an average of more than 2 functional groups of the formula ONH.sub.2 and optionally (e) blowing agent, (f) chain extender and/or crosslinking agent, and (g) auxiliaries and/or additives are mixed to give a reaction mixture, and the reaction mixture is allowed to complete a reaction to give the polyurethane. The present invention further relates to polyurethanes produced by this process and to the use of these polyurethanes in the interior of means of transport.

RUBBER REPLACEMENT ARTICLES AND THEIR USE AS FOOTWEAR COMPONENTS

Rubber replacement articles prepared from curable compositions are provided. The curable compositions comprise: (a) an isocyanate-functional prepolymer; (b) a curing agent comprising a mixture of polyamines, wherein at least one polyamine has an amine equivalent weight of 125 to 250; and (c) an abrasion resistant additive comprising organic particles demonstrating a volume average particle size of at least 5 microns. The isocyanate-functional prepolymer is (i) a reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a polyamine having primary and/or secondary amino groups; and/or (ii) a reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a polyol.

An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball travelling a great flight distance on driver shots, having enhanced controllability on approach shots under a wet condition, and being excellent in stain resistance and shot feeling. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body having a cover, and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein a 10% elastic modulus of the paint film is 75 kgf/cm.sup.2 or less, a storage modulus (E.sub.150) at 150 C. of the paint film obtained by measuring dynamic viscoelasticity of the paint film is 1.010.sup.7 Pa or more, an indentation depth of the paint film measured with a nanoindenter in a state that the paint film is formed on the surface of the golf ball body is 1250 nm or more, and a material hardness of the cover is 50 or more in Shore D hardness.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A POLYISOCYANURATE COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The invention relates to a process for producing a composite polyisocyanurate material, comprising the following steps: a) providing a polyisocyanate composition A) which comprises oligomeric polyisocyanates and is low in monomeric diisocyanates, low in monomeric diisocyanates meaning that the polyisocyanate composition A) has a content of monomeric diisocyanates of not more than 20% by weight, and b) catalytically trimerizing the polyisocyanate composition A) in the presence of at least one fibrous filler B) and of a trimerization catalyst C) to give the composite polyisocyanurate material, where the trimerization catalyst C) comprises at least one metal salt and/or quaternary ammonium salt. The invention further relates to composite polyisocyanurate materials obtainable by the process according to the invention and to the use thereof for production of a component, and to components consisting of or comprising a composite polyisocyanurate material according to the invention.

A vat resin for three-dimensional stereolithography printing of a thiourethane polymer part comprising a liquid mixture including a first type of monomer, a second type of monomer, a photolatent base decomposable upon exposure to a light to form a non-nucleophillic base catalyst having a pKa greater than 7, an anionic step-growth polymerization reaction inhibitor having an acidic group configured to form an acid-base pair with the non-nucleophillic base and a light absorber having an absorbance in the liquid mixture that is greater than an absorbance of the photolatent base at a wavelength of the light used for the exposure. Methods of preparing the vat resin and three-dimensional stereolithography printing a thiourethane polymer part using the vat resin are also disclosed.
