METHOD FOR FORMING A MULTILAYER COATING FILM

A method includes a step of applying an aqueous 2-package type first colored paint to form an uncured first colored coating film; a step of applying an aqueous 1-package type second colored paint to form an uncured second colored coating film; a step of applying a solvent-based 2-package type clear paint to form an uncured clear coating film; and a step of heating the uncured first colored coating film, the uncured second colored coating film and the uncured clear coating film to 75 to 100° C. to simultaneously cure these films. The solvent-based 2-package type clear paint contains a hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin and a polyisocyanate compound in a ratio of 1.5 to 2.0 equivalents of isocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate compound relative to 1 equivalent of hydroxyl groups in the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin.

A method for forming a multilayer coating film, sequentially conducting step (1) of applying an aqueous 2-package type first colored paint on both a metal member and a plastic member of an automobile outer panel to form an uncured first colored coating film; step (2) of applying an aqueous 1-package type white paint on the uncured first colored coating film by step (1) to form an uncured white coating film; step (3) of applying an aqueous 1-package type interference color paint on the uncured white coating film by step (2) to form an uncured interference color coating film; step (4) of applying a solvent-based 2-package type clear paint on the uncured interference color coating film by step (3) to form an uncured clear coating film; and step (5) of heating these coating films by steps (1) to (4) at 75 to 100° C. to simultaneously cure them.

The present invention relates to a polythiol composition that includes (a) a polythiol compound (A) having at least two thiol groups; and (b) a nitrogen-containing compound (B) represented by the following Formula (I),

In Formula (I), —S—R is a residue of the polythiol compound (A). A peak area of the nitrogen-containing compound (B) is equal to or less than 3.0, with respect to a peak area of 100 of the polythiol compound (A). Each peak area for compounds (A) and (B) is determined by high performance liquid chromatography analysis. According to the present invention, there can be provided a polyrotaxane monomer having a high productivity and capable of producing a high-quality material at a high yield, while maintaining excellent mechanical characteristics of the polyrotaxane monomer.

Embodiments relate to a polymerizable composition for a plastic lens. The polymerizable composition for a plastic lens according to the embodiment further comprises a diketone compound for the purpose of controlling the strong activity of a halogenated tin-based catalyst. Further, the polymerizable composition is preliminarily polymerized at a low temperature of 5 to 20° C. for a certain period of time, specifically 1 to 20 hours. Since it is possible to stabilize the reaction rate of the composition and to properly control the viscosity of the composition, a more stable pot life is attained, thereby improving the workability. In addition, the generation of bubbles is prevented, thereby improving the transparency of the resin. Hence, the polymerizable composition can be advantageously used for fabricating various plastic lenses such as eyeglass lenses, camera lenses, and the like.

The invention relates to a polyisocyanate mixture comprising a polyisocyanate component A) having aliphatically and/or cycloaliphatically bonded isocyanate groups and a polyisocyanate component B) having araliphatically and/or aromatically bonded isocyanate groups, characterized in that the polyisocyanate component A) comprises at least 0.85% by weight of sulfonate groups (calculated as SO.sub.3; molar weight=80 g/mol) in chemically bonded form and the proportion of the polyisocyanate component B) is 7 to 43% by weight of the total amount of the components A) and B).
