PHOTO-ALIGNABLE POLYMER, BINDER COMPOSITION, BINDER LAYER, OPTICAL LAMINATE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICAL LAMINATE, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
An object of the present invention is to provide a photo-alignable polymer which has excellent coating properties, is capable of suppressing film thickness unevenness, and has excellent upper layer coating properties and good liquid crystal alignment properties after being formed as a layer; a binder composition; a binder layer; an optical laminate; a method for producing an optical laminate; and an image display device. The photo-alignable polymer of an embodiment of the present invention is a photo-alignable polymer having a repeating unit A including a cleavage group capable of decomposing by an action of at least one selected from the group consisting of light, heat, an acid, and a base to generate a polar group, in which the repeating unit A has the cleavage group in a side chain, has a fluorine atom or a silicon atom on a side closer to a terminal than the cleavage group in the side chain, and the photo-alignable polymer satisfies Condition 1 or Condition 2 shown below.
Condition 1: The photo-alignable polymer further has a repeating unit B including a photo-alignable group, in addition to the repeating unit A.
Condition 2: The repeating unit A includes a photo-alignable group on a side closer to the main chain than the cleavage group in the side chain.
Stretchable film, method for forming the same, stretchable wiring film, and method for manufacturing the same
The present invention provides a stretchable film including: a cured product of a composition which contains (A) a poly(meth)acrylate compound having a polymerizable double bond and a siloxane bond, (B) a (meth)acrylate compound having a urethane bond, and (C) an organic solvent having a boiling point in the range of 115 to 200 C. at atmospheric pressure; wherein the component (A) is localized in the direction of the surface of the film. The stretchable film of the present invention is excellent in stretchability and strength as well as repellency on the film surface.
POLYCARBONATE ARTICLES FOR CONSUMER ELECTRONICS
A polycarbonate article comprises: a substrate comprising a poly(carbonate-bisphenol arylate ester) composition that comprises, based on the total weight of the poly(carbonate-bisphenol arylate ester) composition, 90 to 99.9 wt. %, preferably 95 to 99.9 wt. % of a poly(carbonate-bisphenol arylate ester), and 0.1 to 10 wt. %, preferably 0.1 to 5 wt. % of an additive comprising at least one of a processing aid, a heat stabilizer, an antioxidant, and an ultra violet light absorber; and a siloxane urethane acrylate coating disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the substrate, the siloxane urethane acrylate coating having a thickness of greater than or equal to 8 micrometers; wherein the article has a pencil hardness of 2H or harder when measured according to ASTM D3363-00 at 1,000 g force on the siloxane urethane acrylate coating.

The present invention is a method for producing a polyfunctional polymer that contains a structural unit having a urethane bond and a polymerizable unsaturated bond in a side chain, and is characterised by including a reaction process in which a polymer (P) containing a structural unit (a) having a hydroxy group in a side chain and a monomer (M) having an isocyanate group and a polymerizable unsaturated bond are reacted in the presence of a bismuth carboxylate.

Compositions and articles including host polymers and chromophores and methods of producing the same are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, an article includes a host polymer with a host polymer refractive index. The article also includes a chromophore with a chromophore refractive index that is greater than the host polymer refractive index. The chromophore refractive index changes with changes in an electric field, and the chromophore is dissolved within the host polymer. The article has an article refractive index that is between the host polymer refractive index and the chromophore refractive index.

A pressure sensitive adhesive tape for semiconductor processing includes a base having a Young's modulus of 1000 MPa or more at 23 C., and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer provided on at least one surface of the base, and the product (N)(C) of (N) and (C) is 500 or more at 30 C., and 9000 or less at 60 C., where (N) [m] is a thickness of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer and (C) [m] is a creep amount.

HIGH PERFORMANCE PHOTOCURABLE OPTICALLY CLEAR ADHESIVE
The present invention is an optically clear, curable adhesive including a polyvinylbutyral, a polyurethane (meth)acrylate, and a photoinitiator. The polyvinylbutyral has a dynamic viscosity of between about 9 and about 13 mPA.Math.s and a polyvinyl alcohol weight percent of less than about 18%. The polyurethane (meth)acrylate includes the reaction product of a diol, at least one diisocyanate, and a hydroxyfunctional (meth)acrylate or an isocyanatofunctional (meth)acrylate. When the optically clear, curable adhesive is placed between two transparent substrates and made into a laminate, the laminate has a haze of less than about 6%, a transmission of greater than about 88% and an optical clarity of greater than about 98% when cured. The optically clear, curable adhesive also has a peel adhesion of at least about 100 g/cm based on ASTM 3330 when cured.
Coating agent, coating film, laminate and surface-protected article
Provided is a coating agent that can be formed into a surface layer having excellent self-restoring properties and stain-proof properties by applying the coating agent onto a surface of a base material (for example, thermoplastic polyurethane) and curing the resulting material. The coating agent according to the present application contains urethane (meth)acrylate-based resin (a), fluorine-based compound (b) and photopolymerization initiator (d). Urethane (meth)acrylate-based resin (a) has weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 10,000 to 800,000. Fluorine-based compound (b) has at least two polymerizable functional groups. The surface layer formed of the coating agent has excellent self-restoring properties of a scratch, stain-proof properties and stretchability.
