ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, CURED PRODUCT, AND ASSEMBLY
An object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive composition that causes less warpage in adhering materials made of different substances and is superior in adhesion force with keeping bulk strength in the cured product. The present invention is an adhesive composition containing the following components (A) to (D):
component (A): an epoxy-modified plant oil;
component (B): a curable resin at least containing an elastomer-modified epoxy resin, provided that the component (A) is excluded;
component (C): a tackifier; and
component (D): a latent curing agent.
High Elastic Modulus Structural Foam Materials with Improved Strain to Failure
A material comprising at least about 10% by weight polyvinyl butyral, a thermoplastic epoxy, wherein the ratio of polyvinyl butyral to thermoplastic epoxy is about 1 to 10 to about 1 to 4, and at least 2% but less than 15% by weight adducted carboxyl-terminated polymer, wherein the material has a strain to failure of greater than 2% and a modulus of at least 700 MPa.
Toughened epoxy resin composition
A toughened epoxy resin composition includes an end-capped polyalkylene oxide (A), an epoxy resin (B), an epoxy curing agent (C), and a core shell polymer (D). The end-capped polyalkylene oxide (A) has a number average molecular weight of 1500 to 5000, and 40% or more of a total number of ends of the end-capped polyalkylene oxide (A) are capped with at least one selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an allyl group, and an aryl group. A weight ratio of the end-capped polyalkylene oxide (A) to the core shell polymer (D) is 10/90 to 90/10. The core shell polymer (D) comprises a core layer in an amount of 70 to 95% by weight and the core layer is one or more selected from the group consisting of diene rubber, (meth)acrylate rubber, organosiloxane rubber, styrene polymer, and (meth)acrylate polymer.
Liquid epoxy resin composition for sealing, and electronic component device
A liquid epoxy resin composition for sealing includes an epoxy resin, a curing agent, and a particle having a core-shell structure. In the composition, the particle having a core-shell structure includes a core including a cross-linked polysiloxane and a shell including a polymer in which the content of a structural unit having an epoxy group is 10% by mass or more.
SHAPE MEMORY MATERIAL WITH IMPROVED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
A composition includes an epoxy-based curable adhesive having at least one an epoxy resin modified acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer and at least one thermoplastic elastomer. The at least one thermoplastic elastomer is present in the curable adhesive as a penetrating polymer network. Further, an expandable article is composed of the composition, a reinforcing element includes a support and an expandable article, a method for reinforces cavities of structural components, and the composition is used as a shape memory material.
Thermosetting epoxy resin compositions useful as structural reinforcement or structural foam
Thermosetting epoxy resin compositions on the one hand at room temperature in the incompletely cured state exhibit extremely slight alteration in shape and on the other hand develop a high surface tack, and, moreover, in the fully cured state are of high impact strength and at the same time exhibits high adhesion, particularly to metallic substrates. These compositions are ideally suited to the production of self-adhesive reinforcing elements.
Epoxy resin composition
In developing epoxy resin compositions used as an adhesive for structure (structural adhesive) required to have adhesive properties, if each component is increased to further enhance the adhesive properties such as shear bond strength and peel strength, this causes problems, for example, as follows. The viscosity becomes so high that the workability deteriorates. Hence, the added amount has to be limited. Moreover, the cured product becomes excessively flexible, so that the shear bond strength deteriorates. An epoxy resin composition contains the following components (A) to (E), where the component (A) does not include the component (C): the component (A): an epoxy resin; the component (B): a blocked urethane resin; the component (C): a rubber-modified epoxy resin; the component (D): rubber particles; and the component (E): a latent curing agent.
Curable composition
Provided is a curative part usable in a two-part curable composition. The curative part includes a liquid amine; a heterogeneous dispersant; and core-shell rubber particles having an elastomeric core and a (meth)acrylic shell. The core-shell rubber particles and the heterogeneous dispersant can be collectively shear-dispersed in the liquid amine such that the core-shell rubber particles are substantially non-aggregated and the curative part is phase-stable over a period of at least 3 months at ambient temperature. Advantageously, large amounts of core-shell rubber particles can thus be incorporated into a cured resin matrix, which can afford significantly enhanced impact performance.
Rubber composition comprising an epoxide elastomer cross-linked by a polycarboxylic acid
A rubber composition is based on at least one predominant elastomer comprising epoxide functional groups, silica as predominant reinforcing filler, an agent for covering the silica, and a system for crosslinking the elastomer comprising an imidazole and a polycarboxylic acid of general formula (I): ##STR00001##
and an imidazole of general formula (II): ##STR00002##
