Combination Vibrational And Thermal Jumper
The disclosed inventive concept comprises a form-fitting body suit, or thermal juniper for wearing by a person, the jumper further comprising an internalized plurality of separate but integral pads. Each of the pads is secured within a pocket attached to the interior surface of the jumper, the pockets corresponding to the location of specific parts of the human anatomy when the jumper is donned by a wearer. Each pad functions as 1) a conductor of varying ranges of heat and 2) a source of vibration when integral wiring in the pad is activated by electrical current generated by at least one battery or rechargeable battery pack.
Heating device and method of use
The present disclosure describes a treatment device having a heat source, a power source, a heat applicator and a lighting mechanism. The power source includes at least one battery having superior properties such as prolonged electricity production and prompt recharging. The heat applicator includes a heat conductive layer made from nanofibers, providing highly efficient heat distribution to the targeted regions. The lighting mechanism employs light emitting nano fibers to treat targeted regions. The power source provides energy to the light source, which generates light so that the applicator may distribute to an injury site or wound bed of a user. The heat source may be an exothermic chemical reaction designed to last for several hours supplying heat to the treatment device or an electronically produced heat. The treatment device further comprises a plurality of electrodes for electrical stimulation treatment.
Vasodilation assembly
The invention relates to a vasodilation assembly for facilitating intravenous cannulation. The assembly comprises: (i) a flexible plastics sleeve (10); (ii) a heated air supply; and (iii) a conduit for conveying heated air from the air supply into the flexible plastics sleeve. The sleeve comprises an air inlet opening (12) for coupling to the conduit, and an opening (14) for accepting an appendage of a patient. The flexible plastics sleeve (10) is of a double-walled construction comprising transparent inner and outer sleeve layers (16, 18).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SCALP THERMAL TREATMENT
In one example, the disclosure relates to a head wrap that includes a body. A first arm extends from the body. A second arm extends from the body oppositely from, and shares a common axis with, the first arm. A center section extends from the body generally perpendicular to the first arm and the second arm. A first panel and a second panel extend from the first arm. A third panel and a fourth panel extending from the second arm. A fluid bladder is defined by the body, the first arm, the second arm, the center section, the first panel, the second panel, the third panel, and the fourth panel. A compression bladder is disposed outwardly of the fluid bladder and coextensive with the fluid bladder. A first fluid port is fluidly coupled to the fluid bladder and a second fluid port is fluidly coupled to the fluid bladder.
Muscle massaging device and operating method thereof
A muscle massaging device and an operating method thereof are provided. The muscle massaging device, comprising includes: a detector, configured to detect a real-time myoelectric value and a real-time muscle tension value of a target muscle; a comparator, configured to compare the real-time myoelectric value and a prestored myoelectric value, and compare the real-time muscle tension value and a prestored muscle tension value; and a massager, configured to massage a first region corresponding to the target muscle.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING BLOOD CIRCULATION
Embodiments of the invention include a method and a device for increasing blood flow and controlling the temperature of a mammal by applying a desired pressure to extremities of a mammal. The device generally includes a pliant body element that is adapted to receive a portion of an extremity of the mammal therein, and then apply a pressure to a portion of the extremity when a pressure is provided to a region in which the extremity is positioned within the pliant body element. By evacuating the region in which the extremity is enclosed, a contact surface area between the extremity of a mammal and the pliant body element is increased, due to the external atmospheric pressure acting on the pliant body element against the skin of the extremity of the mammal. The application of pressure assures that sufficient contact and thermal heat transfer (heating or cooling) is provided to the extremity of the mammal.
CRYOSPLINT
Cryosplint. In some embodiments, a cryosplint may include a vacuum splint and a cold pack. The vacuum splint may be configured to be wrapped around a body part of a patient and then have air evacuated therefrom in order to stabilize the body part. The cold pack may be configured to be attached to the vacuum splint in order to provide application of cold to the body part simultaneous to the vacuum splint stabilizing the body part.
UNIVERSAL MODULARIZED PORTABLE THERAPEUTIC LIMB AND BODY REST PAIN MANAGEMENT APPARATUS
A universal modularized portable therapeutic limb and body rest pain management device is disclosed. The portable therapeutic pain management device is coupled with a biostable spring slap mechanism which allows the device to be adjusted to enclose a user's limb or body part at a convenient location.
Method and apparatus for scalp thermal treatment
A head wrap includes a body.
DEFORMABLE THERMAL PACK
A thermal pack for use with a device for circulating hot or cold fluid, the thermal pack including: a body having a cavity; a bendable and deformable support one of attached to or disposed within the body, the support being configured such that the body is deformed into a shape matching a contour of a body part and the body is maintained in the shape while applied to the body part by the support; and tubing having one end in fluid communication with the cavity and another end in fluid communication with the device such that the device circulates a hot or cold fluid through the cavity via the tubing.
