Rigid polyurethane foams suitable for use as panel insulation
Disclosed are polyurethane-foam forming compositions, rigid polyurethane foams and methods for their production, as well as to composite articles comprising such foams sandwiched between facer substrates, including use of such composite elements for floor insulating elements for refrigerated tractor trailers. The rigid polyurethane foams are produced from an isocyanate-reactive component comprising: (1) a polyol blend; (2) a halogenated hydroolefin; (3) a surfactant; (4) water; and (5) a tertiary amine catalyst composition.
Blowing Agent Compositions of Hydrofluoroolefins and Hydrochlorofluoroolefins
The present invention relates to blowing agent compositions comprising at least one hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) selected from cis- and/or trans- 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234ze) and at least one hydrochlorofluoroolefin (HCFO) selected from cis- and/or trans- 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (HCFO-1233zd) used in the preparation of foamable thermoplastic compositions. The blowing agent compositions are useful in the production of low density insulating foams with improved k-factor.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING POLYURETHNE FOAMS
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a polyurethane foam by reacting a polyisocyanate with a polyol in the presence of a blow agent and a particular family of amine. The present invention also relates to a polyurethane foam thereof.
