COSMETIC DEVICE
A cosmetic device includes: a body from which a first head portion and a second head portion protrude in directions different from each other; a front assembly disposed on the first head portion; a rear assembly disposed on the second head portion; and an iontophoresis electrode disposed to be spaced apart from the front assembly and the rear assembly on an outer surface of the body. The front assembly includes an inner electrode, an outer electrode disposed outside the inner electrode, and an ultrasonic vibrator disposed on a rear surface of the inner electrode to generate ultrasonic waves. The rear assembly includes a thermoelectric element and a cooling cover cooled by the thermoelectric element.
Compositions, treatment systems and methods for improved cooling of lipid-rich tissue
Compositions and formulations for use with devices and systems that enable tissue cooling, such as cryotherapy applications, for alteration and reduction of adipose tissue are described. Aspects of the technology are further directed to methods, compositions and devices that provide protection of non-targeted cells (e.g., non-lipid-rich cells) from freeze damage during dermatological and related aesthetic procedures that require sustained exposure to cold temperatures. Further aspects of the technology include systems for enhancing sustained and/or replenishing release of cryoprotectant to a treatment site prior to and during cooling applications.
DEVICES CONFIGURED TO PROVIDE TREATMENT AT AN ABREU BRAIN THERMAL TUNNEL
Provided are devices for therapeutic interaction with an Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminus. Such devices are configured to provide one or more drugs to an ABTT terminus, and may provide heat to or remove heat from the ABTT terminus while providing the one or more drugs.
Micro-climate-managed skin care, including wound care
A skin care device includes a receptacle that includes an outlet port and defines a chamber that extends from the outlet port to a sump, which is defined by an impermeable portion of the receptacle, and is disposed for receiving one end of a tube inserted through the outlet port. Wicking material is received over a permeable portion of the receptacle for location over a particular region of the skin. When a vacuum is applied at the sump, the particular region is cooled by evaporative cooling when the particular region is moist. The device includes at least one vent that is so disposed as to promote air flow and to prevent a vacuum from occurring at a portion of the skin adjacent where the wicking material is located while the vacuum is applied. The device can be used for wound care and to dispose wicking material within a skin fold.
Heating patch, and warming device for skin care comprising same
Provided is a heating patch. The heating patch includes: a flexible plate-shaped base substrate; an electrode portion including a pair of lead electrodes formed on at least one surface of the base substrate along a longitudinal direction to be spaced apart along a width direction of the base substrate, and a pair of branch electrodes extending from the lead electrodes along the width direction of the base substrate to be not electrically connected to each other and to be overlapped with each other; a heating portion including a conductive heating material disposed in an overlapped part between the branch electrodes which have a predetermined area and face each other to generate heat while conducting the pair of branch electrodes to each other; and a pair of cover members disposed on both sides of the base substrate to prevent the electrode portion and the heating portion from being exposed externally.
Methods, devices, and systems for improving skin characteristics
Provided herein are systems, compositions, and methods for improving one or more skin characteristics in a subject. These systems, compositions, and methods are configured to cool the subject's skin at a target site to a degree that alters adipocyte signaling but does not produce significant destruction of subcutaneous lipid-rich cells. In some embodiments, alteration of adipocyte signaling produces an improvement in one or more skin characteristics.
SKIN WHITENING MASK, SKIN WHITENING DEVICE, AND SKIN WHITENING METHOD USING SAME
Provided are a skin whitening mask and device, and a skin whitening method using the same. The mask includes a contact layer having a lower portion in contact with a face surface of a user and provided as a flexible material and at least one thermoelectric module applying cold to a user's face. A heat dissipation layer above the thermoelectric module contacts the second main surface of the thermoelectric module and heat-radiating by receiving heat generated during cooling of the first main surface through the second main surface. A controller controls the thermoelectric module such that the first main surface is cooled to a temperature lower than the target temperature so that the user's skin reaches a target temperature at which pigmentation by melanocytes is suppressed, during a time between 5 seconds required to suppress the pigmentation and 300 seconds in which damage to the skin occurs.
MEDICAL METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SKIN TREATMENT
The present invention generally relates to improved medical devices, systems, and methods, with exemplary embodiments providing improved cooling treatment probes and cooling treatment methods and systems. In some embodiments, freezing of the skin may be desirable to effect the hypopigmentation of the skin of the patient. Generally, embodiments may limit supercooling of the skin of the patient during a cooling treatment. Additionally, embodiments may limit adverse side effects such as hyperpigmentation. It has been found that the freezing behavior (frequency and time to freeze) can be modified by adjusting the thermal parameters of the cooling applicator. Accordingly, in some aspects of the invention, a method of treating the skin may be provided where the thermal parameters of the cooling applicator are adjusted during treatment.
HYPERTHERMIC CONDITIONING CAPSULE
A self-contained, hyperthermic conditioning unit and selectively controllable environment for exercising. The unit comprises a base portion having a bed therein and a removable cover connected to the base portion to enclose a personal compartment within the unit. One or more heating elements provide heat to the personal compartment and one more pieces of physical exercise equipment are provided within the personal compartment.
Pen for the treatment of dermatological disorders and method for use thereof
The present invention relates to a pen for the treatment of dermatological disorders, such as warts and the like, by means of a coolant. The pen includes a distal part having a holder for the storage of a coolant and a proximal part with an applicator for the administration of the coolant to the dermatological surface for treatment. These parts extend axially and are in coolant communication by means of a coolant passage in the proximal part, in which a valve body is provided for closing off and/or opening the passage. The passage is provided with at least one bypass for the coolant. In addition, the invention relates to a method for the administration of the pen.
