CHEMICAL RECYCLING OF POLYOLEFIN-CONTAINING PLASTIC WASTE AND SOLVOLYSIS COPRODUCT STREAMS

Chemical recycling facilities for processing mixed plastic waste are provided herein. Such facilities have the capability of processing mixed plastic waste streams and utilize a variety of recycling facilities, such as, for example, solvolysis facility, a pyrolysis facility, a cracker facility, a partial oxidation gasification facility, an energy generation/energy production facility, and a solidification facility. Streams from one or more of these individual facilities may be used as feed to one or more of the other facilities, thereby maximizing recovery of valuable chemical components and minimizing unusable waste streams.

PREPARATION METHOD OF ION CATALYST MATERIAL FOR PET CHEMICAL RECYCLING AND PET CHEMICAL RECYCLING METHOD

Provided are a preparation method of an ion catalyst material for PET chemical recycling and a PET chemical recycling method. The preparation method of an ion catalyst material for PET chemical recycling includes the following. A metal chloride is added to an alkylimidazole-chloride ionic liquid to form a bisalkylimidazole-metal tetrachloride ionic liquid that is grafted on a porous carrier.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FOR TEREPHTHALIC ACID USING POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE WITH HIGH DEGREE OF POLYMERIZATION MORE THAN 0.75 DL/G OF INTRINSIC VISCOSITY
20230107495 · 2023-04-06 ·

The present invention relates to a method for production of terephthalic acid using high polymerization degree polyethylene terephthalate, which includes: (i) introducing high polymerization degree polyethylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.75 dl/g or more into a continuous reactor, and then heating and pressurizing the same to prepare a fluidal polyethylene terephthalate; (ii) introducing a mixed slurry prepared by mixing an alkaline material containing an alkali-metal, a weak acid salt of the alkali-metal and ethylene glycol together into an internal position of the continuous reactor, through which the fluidal polyethylene terephthalate passes, and implementing neat reaction of the fluidal polyethylene terephthalate with the mixed slurry in the continuous reactor to prepare alkali-metal terephthalate; and (iii) dissolving the prepared alkali-metal terephthalate in water, removing foreign substances through filtration and centrifugation, adding acid to the alkali-metal terephthalate dissolved in water and reacting the same, thereby producing terephthalic acid.

Black polyester film and method for manufacturing the same

A black polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The method for manufacturing the black polyester film includes: providing a recycled polyester material; physically regenerating a part of the recycled polyester material to form physically regenerated polyester chips having a first intrinsic viscosity; chemically regenerating another part of the recycled polyester material to form chemically regenerated polyester chips having a second intrinsic viscosity lower than the first intrinsic viscosity; mixing black regenerated polyester chips, the physically regenerated polyester chips, and the chemically regenerated polyester chips according to a predetermined intrinsic viscosity so as to form a polyester chip raw material; melting and then extruding the polyester chips raw material to form the black polyester film having the predetermined intrinsic viscosity.

PYROLYSIS OF WASTE PLASTICS IN A FILM REACTOR

A process and system for liquefying and plasticizing a waste plastic in a pyrolysis film reactor are provided. More particularly, a liquefied waste plastic, which may include halogen-depleted molten waste plastics, may be pyrolyzed in a pyrolysis film reactor to form a pyrolysis oil and a pyrolysis gas. The pyrolysis film reactors may include a falling film reactor and/or an upflow film reactor.

RECYCLE CONTENT HYDROGEN

A hydrogen composition having a recycle content value is obtained by processing a recycle content feedstock to make a recycle content hydrogen or by deducting from a recycle inventory a recycle content value applied to a hydrogen composition. At least a portion of the recycle content value in the feedstock or in an allotment obtained by a hydrogen manufacturer has its origin in recycled waste plastics.
