A composition comprising at least the following components: A) one or more ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymers, which comprise ≤3.5 wt % of a non-conjugated diene, based on the weight of the one or more ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymers; B) an acid acceptor selected from the following: MgO, ZnO, or combination thereof.

Described herein is a building panel comprising a body having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and a side surface extending therebetween, a coating applied to at least one of the first major surface, the second major surface, or the side surface, the coating comprising a binder, and a pigment composition comprising titanium dioxide, an alkali metal silicate, and a clay; wherein the titanium dioxide is present in an amount ranging from about 3.0 wt. % to about 15.0 wt. % based on the total weight of the pigment composition.
Cured siloxane coating and anticorrosion substrate formed therewith
Sol-gel coating formulations including metal oxide particles such as aluminum oxide, calcium oxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, and molybdenum oxide embedded in a hybrid polymer matrix based on a reacted form of a resin composition containing a tetraalkylorthosilicate, an aminoalkylsilane, a dialkoxysilane, and a silanol terminated polydimethylsiloxane. The sol-gel coating formulations are suitable for applications such as anticorrosive protective coatings of metal substrates (e.g. mild steel). These anticorrosive coated metal substrates are evaluated on their hydrophobicity (water contact angle), surface roughness, mechanical strength (e.g. hardness), adhesiveness to the substrate (e.g. critical load), and anticorrosiveness upon exposure to a saline solution (e.g. impedance value).
ULTRAVIOLET STABILIZED POLYMERIC COMPOSITIONS
A polymeric composition includes 90 wt % to 99 wt % of an ethylene-based polymer based on a total weight of the polymeric composition; 0.1 wt % to 1 wt % of a hindered amine light stabilizer based on the total weight of the polymeric composition; and 0.1 wt % to 5.0 wt % of at least one of MgO, Mg (OH).sub.2, ZnO and Zn (OH).sub.2 based on the total weight of the polymeric composition.
Shear thinning thermally conductive silicone compositions
A composition contains the following components: (a) 15 to 49.8 volume-percent of a first polysiloxane that is has a viscosity in a range of 50 centiStokes to 550 Stokes as determined according to ASTM D4283-98; (b) 0.2 to 5 volume-percent of an organoclay; (c) 50-74 volume-percent roundish or crushed thermally conductive fillers including: (i) 5 to 15 volume-percent small thermally conductive fillers having a median particle size in a range of 0.1 to 1.0 micrometers; (ii) 10 to 25 volume-percent medium thermally conductive fillers having a median particle size in a range of 1.1 to 5.0 micrometers; (iii) 25 to 50 volume-percent large thermally conductive fillers having a median particle size in a range of 5.1 to 50 micrometers; and (d) 0 to 5 volume-percent of an alkoxy functional linear polysiloxane different from the first polysiloxane and/or an alkoxy functional linear silane; where volume-percent values are relative to composition volume.
Thermoplastic resin composition
Disclosed are a thermoplastic polyamide resin composition, a method for preparing the same and a molded article produced thereby. The molded article may have improved impact strength and heat resistance, produced from the thermoplastic polyamide resin composition including a nucleating agent containing an aromatic polyamide and a heat-dissipation filler, polyamide 66 and polyamide 6, thereby improving the speed of process and realize uniform crystallization.

Coating compositions exhibiting corrosion resistance properties and related coated substrates

Thermally conductive composition
Disclosed are a thermally conductive composition that contains 10 to 50 parts by mass of a thermoplastic resin (A) and 50 to 90 parts by mass of a metal oxide (B) such as magnesium oxide (a total of the thermoplastic resin (A) and the metal oxide (B) being 100 parts by mass), and a thermally conductive composition that contains a thermoplastic resin (A) and a metal oxide (B) such as magnesium oxide, in which a modified polyolefin-based wax (C) is further contained in an amount of 0.1 to 20 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the thermoplastic resin (A), such thermally conductive compositions being useful for applications such as a container, a piece of tableware, a heat dissipating member, a water-circulating structure material, an electronic device casing, a timepiece exterior material, a tumbler, and a commodity for daily use.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A STAINLESS STEEL SHEET HAVING ETCHING PATTERNS
Provided is a manufacturing method of a stainless steel sheet having etching patterns. The method includes: coating a coating composition on a stainless steel sheet to form a coating layer; and forming a matte coated film layer, having an etching effect, on the coating layer. The coating composition comprises: 10 to 30 wt% of a silane-based compound, 0.5 to 6 wt% of an organic acid, 0.1 to 3 wt% of a vanadium compound, 0.1 to 3 wt% of a magnesium compound, and a remainder of a solvent.
