The present invention provides a new glitter pigment suitable for providing high-brightness whitish reflected light. The glitter pigment according to the present invention includes: a flaky substrate 1; and a silicon oxide layer 2 and a titanium oxide layer 3 formed in this order on the flaky substrate 1, wherein in the case where the flaky substrate is the glass flake, the glass flake has a thickness of 284 to 322 nm, the silicon oxide layer has a thickness of 89 to 109 nm, and the titanium oxide layer has a thickness of 51 to 86 nm. In the case where the flaky substrate is the alumina flake, the alumina flake has a thickness of 260 to 280 nm, the silicon oxide layer has a thickness of 79 to 102 nm, and the titanium oxide layer has a thickness of 47 to 87 nm.

The present invention relates to a compound comprising a hydrophobically modified poly(oxyalkylene-urethane) having a hydrophobic fragment represented by Structure I: ##STR00001## where Ar.sup.1, Ar.sup.2; R.sup.1, m, and n are defined herein. The compound of the present invention provides viscosity stability upon tinting for paints containing a hydrophobically modified poly(oxyalkylene-urethane) rheology modifier, more particularly a HEUR rheology modifier.

This disclosure provides a composition comprising a mixture of molecules of Formula (I): {RO—[CH(CH.sub.3)CH.sub.2O)].sub.b[CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2O].sub.a}.sub.mP(═O)(O.sup.−X.sup.+).sub.n (I), wherein R is chosen from linear or branched C.sub.10-C.sub.18 alkyl or alkenyl groups; a is 0 to 50, b is 0-30, and a+b>0; X.sup.+ is potassium, triethanolamine, or H, and m and n are each equal to 1 or 2, such that when m=1 then n=2, and when m=2 then n=1. Moreover, in the mixture some of the molecules have m=1 and n=2 and some of the molecules have m=2 and n=1, wherein the mole ratio of compounds where m=1 to compounds where m=2 is of from 1:1 to 3:1.

A composite material having physical characteristics equivalent to particle board materials bonded with resin-based adhesives that contain formaldehyde-urea is formed of reclaimed textile debris comprising fabric scraps and a latex based binder. The binder includes natural rubber latex, sulfur, an anti-oxidant agent and pH adjustment substances. The binder may also include selected amounts of zinc oxide, zinc diethyldithiocarbamate and a stabilizer. Production of the composite material includes mixing the constituents and vulcanization through the application of heat and compression. Cold compression is subsequently applied.

The dielectric material has a volume resistivity of from about 0.1 ohm-cm to about 1×10.sup.12 ohm-cm, wherein the polymer matrix contains at least one thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer, and further wherein the polymer composition exhibits a dielectric constant of about 4 or more and a dissipation factor of about 0.3 or less, as determined at a frequency of 2 GHz.
