APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR CRYO-BASED ANESTHESIA
A cryo-treatment apparatus includes a cryoprobe assembly with a needle for insertion at a target tissue, a cryogen delivery apparatus fluidly connected to the cryoprobe assembly, and a cryo-treatment control apparatus comprising at least one processor and memory, wherein the cryo-treatment control apparatus is configured to: obtain cryoprobe operating information from one or more sensors positioned in the needle of the cryoprobe, the cryoprobe operating information characterizing one or more operating parameters of the cryoprobe, deliver a cryogen to the cryoprobe to produce a cryo-treatment zone in an area of the target tissue, the cryo-treatment zone having a treatment temperature range of about 50 degrees C. to about 100 degrees C., and maintain the cryo-treatment zone in the treatment temperature range for a predetermined period of time.
BATTERY POWERED HEATED EYE MASK
A heated eye mask apparatus for therapeutic treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis, dry eye disease, and related ocular conditions. The apparatus comprises a body portion with adjustable straps and a pair of detachable eye covers releasably secured to the body portion via fastening mechanisms enabling positional adjustment. Each eye cover includes at least one heating element with multiple independently controllable heating zones, allowing targeted thermal therapy to specific periocular anatomical regions. The heating elements are powered by rechargeable batteries integrated within the body portion, providing cordless operation. Flexible tethers connect the eye covers to the body portion, providing mechanical retention and electrical connectivity. A control interface comprising user-actuatable buttons enables independent activation of heating zones. Alternative embodiments may include a steam generation system providing combined heat and moisture therapy. The adjustable configuration accommodates varying facial anatomies and enables customized treatment based on individual therapeutic requirements.
THERMOTHERAPY DEVICE FOR PET USE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A thermotherapy device for use in a kennel includes a ducted pet bed inside the kennel. A support sheet supports a pet and a plenum is below the support sheet. The support sheet defines a vent in fluid communication with the plenum. An interior air fitting is supported on the ducted pet bed in fluid communication with the plenum and positioned adjacent a doorway to oppose an interior side of a door when closed. The interior air fitting makes a fluid connection to the door when closed so that temperature controlled air flows through door openings into the plenum, then passes through the vent toward the pet. The device may include an exterior air fitting mounted on the door's exterior side that aligns with the interior air fitting when closed.
