A self-contained, hyperthermic conditioning unit and selectively controllable environment for exercising. The unit comprises a base portion having a bed therein and a removable cover connected to the base portion to enclose a personal compartment within the unit. One or more heating elements provide heat to the personal compartment and one more pieces of physical exercise equipment are provided within the personal compartment.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE
A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
Active thermo-regulated neonatal transportable incubator
The present invention provides an elongated active thermo-regulated neonatal transportable incubator (ANTI), having a main longitudinal axis with a proximal end and an opposite distal end comprising adjacent to at least one of the ends a temperature regulating vent (TRV). The TRV is configured to stream air from one end towards the opposite end substantially along the axis, and the ANTI is configured, by means of size and shape, to accommodate the neonate in parallel to the axis. Further the ANTI can be configured by means of size shape and material to at least partially inserted into an MRD having an open bore in its longitudinal axis, further accommodating the neonate parallel to the MRD bore. An incubator with a temperature regulating vent located outside the incubator and its base.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus for providing pressurized, thermally conditioned air, comprising a casing, a housing in the casing describing an airflow pathway with an air diffusing outlet proximate to an outlet opening for providing a stream of pressurized air through the outlet opening, a convective module disposed part of the housing and the outlet opening via the airflow pathway. The apparatus can include a first sensor input port adjacent to a portion of the casing and configured to receive a signal indicative of a first physiological indicator and a first sensor output port adjacent to a portion of the casing and configured to transmit the signal indicative of the first physiological indicator. The apparatus can include a controller configured to determine a first physiological indicator value from the first sensor input port and perform at least one operation.

The invention provides fluid warming apparatus comprising: a fan; a heater, the fan and the heater being configured to generate a heated fluid flow having a principle flow direction and an inhomogeneous temperature distribution in a distribution direction perpendicular to the said principle flow direction; and a plurality of temperature sensors offset from each other in the said distribution direction, wherein at least two of the temperature sensors are configured to measure temperatures of respective portions of the heated fluid flow having different temperatures.

Steam therapy equipment for good health and wellness
A steam therapy equipment including a vessel for heating a mixture of water and organic materials, a compressor to inject pressurized air into the vessel producing pressurized steam. The pressurized steam is conducted into the equipment via one or more valves. The therapy equipment is formed from at least one panel and may include a supporting frame. The therapy equipment includes a temperature sensor to measure the temperature inside the therapy equipment when pressurized steam is admitted via the valves. A patient enters the equipment and is exposed to the pressurized steam, causing dilation of the skin pores of the patient, whereby toxins are removed from the patient. One or more applicators may conduct pressurized steam to specific portions of the body of the patient. The invention relates to a treatment apparatus comprising an envelope that can be placed on or around a body part of a person such that the envelope has a positioning area (Z) for said body part of the person, the envelope being provided with an inlet (8) for a gaseous medium and an outlet for discharging the gaseous medium present in the envelope. According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a control system (11) for controlling the flow of the gaseous medium in order to direct the gaseous medium entering the envelope via the inlet (8) outside the positioning area (Z), and to homogenise the gaseous medium present in the envelope.
