A hot melt adhesive composition may also include a biobased ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer at an amount ranging from 10 to 80 wt % of the hot melt adhesive composition, wherein the biobased EVA comprises a melt index (I.sub.2) as determined by ASTM D1238 in the range of 1.5 to 50 g/10 min measured with a load of 2.16 kg at 190° C.; and a tackfier at an amount ranging from 30 to 70 wt % of the hot melt adhesive composition.
