THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

Provided is a thermoplastic resin composition which includes: a graft copolymer including a C.sub.4 to C.sub.10 alkyl (meth)acrylate-based monomer unit, a styrene-based monomer unit, and a vinyl cyan-based monomer unit; a first styrene-based copolymer including a C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkyl-substituted styrene-based monomer unit and a vinyl cyan-based monomer unit; and a second styrene-based copolymer including an unsubstituted styrene-based monomer unit and a vinyl cyan-based monomer unit. The thermoplastic resin composition is remarkably excellent in heat resistance, chemical resistance, and appearance characteristics while maintaining basic properties.

The present disclosure relates to copolymers including ethylene and α,β unsaturated carboxylic acid units, such as acrylic acid. Copolymers may include from about 0.4 mol % to about 1.1 mol % of the α,β unsaturated carboxylic acid units, and have a melt index of from about 0.1 g/10 min to about 2 g/10 min. Alternatively, copolymers may include from about 0.4 mol % to about 2.4 mol % α,β unsaturated carboxylic acid units, and have a melt index of from about 0.1 g/10 min to about 1.4 g/10 min.

The disclosure generally relates to filaments and in particular, filaments for use in fused filament fabrication to prepare 3D printed articles. The filaments comprising a polymer composition, said polymer composition comprising: a) about 5 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of a thermoplastic polymer A having a melting peak temperature greater than 40° C.; b) about 95 wt. % to about 40 wt. % of a thermoplastic polymer B having a melting peak temperature greater than 20° C.; c) optionally from about 0.1 to 3 wt. % of a viscosity modifier; wherein: the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer A is at least 20° C. greater than the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer B; thermoplastic polymer A is dispersed in thermoplastic polymer B; and the polymer composition has a melt index of at least 0.1 g/10 minutes using a 10 kg weight measured according to ASTM D1238-13 at a temperature which is less than the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer A and which is greater than the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer B.

The disclosure generally relates to filaments and in particular, filaments for use in fused filament fabrication to prepare 3D printed articles. The filaments comprising a polymer composition, said polymer composition comprising: a) about 5 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of a thermoplastic polymer A having a melting peak temperature greater than 40° C.; b) about 95 wt. % to about 40 wt. % of a thermoplastic polymer B having a melting peak temperature greater than 20° C.; c) optionally from about 0.1 to 3 wt. % of a viscosity modifier; wherein: the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer A is at least 20° C. greater than the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer B; thermoplastic polymer A is dispersed in thermoplastic polymer B; and the polymer composition has a melt index of at least 0.1 g/10 minutes using a 10 kg weight measured according to ASTM D1238-13 at a temperature which is less than the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer A and which is greater than the melting peak temperature of thermoplastic polymer B.

[Problem]

To provide a thermoplastic resin film excellent in impact resistance, formability and trimmability when forming a container, productivity, and the like, and a thermoplastic resin-coated metal sheet.

[Solution]

A thermoplastic resin film contains 70 to 97 wt % of a thermoplastic polyester resin component and 3 to 30 wt % of a polyolefin resin component. The polyolefin resin component contains one or more polyolefin resins selected from the group consisting of nonpolar polyolefin resins and polyolefin resins having ester-containing functional groups in side chains thereof. The polyolefin resin component is dispersed, in the thermoplastic polyester resin component, in a fibrous form having an average length of 5 to 300 μm in a machine direction of the film, an average length of 0.2 to 5 μm in a thickness direction of the film, and an aspect ratio of 8 or greater.
