POLYMER COMPOSITION FOR APPLICATIONS COMPRISING A LAYER ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a polymer composition, to an article comprising the polymer composition, preferably to an article comprising at least one layer element (LE) comprising the polymer composition, and to a process for producing said article.
ADHESIVE TAPES
Adhesive tapes include a plasticized polyvinyl chloride backing, a primer including an ethylene/carbon monoxide-containing terpolymer and a styrene-containing block copolymer and an epoxidized polymer, and an adhesive.
Ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer film and method for producing same
To provide an ETFE film which is unlikely to wrinkle when stretched and retracted, and a method for producing the same. It is an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer film characterized in that the crystallinity obtained by the formula (1) from the peak area S.sub.20 in the vicinity of 2=20, the peak area S.sub.19 in the vicinity of 2=19 and the peak area S.sub.17 in the vicinity of 2=17 in the diffraction intensity curve obtained by the X-ray diffraction method, is from 55 to 70%, and the proportion of the quasi-crystal layer obtained by the formula (2) is from 10 to 20%:
crystallinity (%)=(S.sub.19+S.sub.2)/(S.sub.17+S.sub.19+S.sub.20)100(1)
proportion of quasi-crystal layer (%)=S.sub.20/(S.sub.17+S.sub.19++S.sub.20)100(2).
POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION FOR CABLE INSULATION
A cable article made from or containing a polyolefin composition made from or containing from 20.0 wt % to 80.0 wt % of component T1) being an interpolymer of ethylene and less than 7 wt %, of a polymerizable comonomer; from 0.5 wt % to 5.0 wt % of a peroxide; and from 20.0 wt % to 80.0 wt % of component T2) made from or containing A) 5-35% by weight of a propylene homopolymer or a propylene ethylene copolymer; B) 20-50% by weight; of a copolymer of ethylene and a C.sub.3-C.sub.8 alpha-olefin containing from 0.1% to 20% by weight of alpha-olefin units; and C) 30-60% by weight of a copolymer of ethylene and propylene containing from 25% to 75% by weight of ethylene units,
wherein the cable article is selected from the group consisting of cable insulation and cable jacketing.
Polyphenylene sulfide resin composition and manufacturing method of the same
A polyphenylene sulfide resin composition is obtained by mixing a polyphenylene sulfide resin (a), a fluororesin (b) and an organosilane compound (c). When a resin phase-separated structure of a molded product formed from the polyphenylene sulfide resin composition is observed by an electron microscope, the component (a) forms a continuous phase, the component (b) forms a primary dispersed phase having a number-average dispersion diameter of not greater than 1 m, and a secondary dispersed phase of the component (a) is included in the primary dispersed phase of the component (b).
Adhesive tapes
Adhesive tapes include a plasticized polyvinyl chloride backing, a primer including an ethylene/carbon monoxide-containing terpolymer and a styrene-containing block copolymer, and an adhesive.
Stabilized moisture-curable polymeric compositions
Silane-crosslinkable polymeric compositions comprising a polyolefin having hydrolyzable silane groups, an acidic silanol condensation catalyst, and a phenolic antioxidant. The phenolic antioxidant comprises two sulfur-containing radicals, one located at the ortho position and the other located at the para position relative to the hydroxyl group of the phenol. Such crosslink able polymeric compositions can be employed in various articles of manufacture, such as in the wire and cable industry.
