Moisture crosslinkable copolymers of ethylene and hydrolysable silane
A copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane includes from 0.1 wt % to 5.0 wt % hydrolysable silane groups and has a Mz(abs)/Mw(abs) of less than or equal to 9.5; a ratio of Mz(abs)/Mw(abs) to polydispersity of less than or equal to 1.5; a polydispersity of 6.6 or greater; a Density?Polydispersity of 6.0 or greater; or an Amorphous Content at Room Temperature?Polydispersity of 360 or greater. Methods for forming a moisture-crosslinkable polymer composition include forming a copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane at a polymerization temperature of greater than or equal to 180? C. to less than or equal to 400? C. at a pressure from 5,000 psi to 50,000 psi; and adding a silanol condensation catalyst to the copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane.
Thermoplastic Polyolefin Copolymer Lamination Film, Laminated Structures and Processes for Their Preparation
Disclosed are polyolefin copolymer films comprising alkoxysilane groups and a catalyst for crosslinking the alkoxysilane groups; wherein the crosslinking catalyst is a Lewis or Bronsted acid or base compound that has a relatively high melting point and therefore initiates the crosslinking essentially only at the lamination temperature, preferably at or above at least 50 C. Also disclosed are films wherein (i) the layer or layers comprising the alkoxysilane groups, including surface layer(s), comprise the crosslinking catalyst; or (ii) layer or layers comprising alkoxysilane groups do not contain crosslinking catalyst and have a facial surface in adhering contact with a layer of a thermoplastic polyolefin copolymer comprising the crosslinking catalyst; or (iii) there is a combination of layers (i) and (ii). Also disclosed are laminated glass structures and processes for their preparation that employ such films. The disclosed laminate structures include safety glass and photovoltaic modules.

Stabilized moisture-curable polymeric compositions
Silane-crosslinkable polymeric compositions comprising a polyolefin having hydrolyzable silane groups, an acidic silanol condensation catalyst, a phenolic antioxidant, and an ester-functionalized thioether. Provided are a thermoplastic fluororesin composition including a thermoplastic fluororesin (A) having a Shore D hardness of less than or equal to 50, the Shore D hardness being measured at 23 C. in accordance with ASTM D2240, and a cross-linked structure forming agent (B) that is selected from the group consisting of a polyfunctional unsaturated compound (b-1), a polyamine compound (b-2), and a polyhydroxy compound (b-3) and that is capable of forming a cross-linked structure through a reaction with the thermoplastic fluororesin (A), the thermoplastic fluororesin composition not substantially containing a peroxide compound when containing the (b-1), not substantially containing an acid acceptor when containing the (b-2), and not substantially containing at least one of the acid acceptor and an onium compound when containing the (b-3); and a method for producing a cross-linked body including a step of cross-linking the thermoplastic fluororesin composition by an ionizing radiation.
