The first hose end section includes a pressure sensor communicatively coupled to a warming unit. The first hose end section is configured to releasably couple to a pneumatic convective device. The air hose also includes a second hose end section mechanically coupled to the corrugated flexible hose. The second hose end section is configured to couple to the warming unit.
Regulating environmental conditions inside cups of headphones
Headphones include a pair of cups, each housing a speaker to be positioned over an ear of a user, a processor, a cooling mechanism disposed within each of the cups to regulate environmental conditions inside of the cups to match environmental thresholds provided by a virtual reality device displaying a virtual reality environment to the user, a temperature sensor and at least one additional environmental sensor disposed within each of the cups to monitor the environmental conditions inside the cups, the processor to subsequently analyze data associated with the sensors and compare the data to the environmental thresholds and the processor to selectively activate the cooling mechanism based on the comparison.
Dynamic support apparatus
A dynamic support apparatus having a frame, a dynamic interface, a temperature control mechanism, and a control system. The dynamic interface is capable of changing its geometry and is disposed on the top surface of the frame. The control system is operably connected to the dynamic interface and controls the changing geometry of the dynamic interface. There is also a temperature control mechanism disposed on the top surface of the frame for maintaining a comfortable temperature and moisture environment between the apparatus and the user's body.
SMART CLOTH
A smart cloth includes a cloth body, a control body, actuation air-permeable components, temperature sensing components, and a health-monitoring device. The health-monitoring device includes a bio-sensing module, a blood glucose sensor, a blood pressure measurement module, and a gas bag. The temperature information of the wearer is detected by the temperature sensing components and outputted to the microprocessor of the control body, so that the microprocessor controls the actuation air-permeable components to perform the gas-guiding operation to adjust an apparent temperature of the wearer for providing wearing comfortableness. The bio-sensing module, the blood glucose sensing module, and the blood pressure measurement module detect and provide the detection data information for the wearer anytime and in real-time to provide health-related information to the wearer. Furthermore, the smart cloth may include a gas detection module, allowing the wearer to obtain gas data information anytime and anywhere for alerting and notifying the wearer.
DYNAMIC SUPPORT APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
A control unit system. The system includes a control unit which includes a control unit charging interface, at least one magnet located proximate to the control unit charging interface, at least one actuator, a detachable manifold including at least one magnet, fluidly coupled to the at least one actuator, a pump connected to the at least one actuator for causing actuation thereof, and a control system for controlling the pump, wherein the control system controls the pump to actuate the at least one actuator at least in response to a signal received by the control system. The system also includes a recharging device configured to receive the control unit, the recharging device including a reed switch, wherein when the magnet in the control unit is located proximate to the reed switch, the switch is activated.
APPARATUS FOR PATIENT WARMING
An apparatus for facilitating delivery of conditioned air across a barrier in a cage for holding an animal patient to a blanket arrangement providing the conditioned air to the patient. The apparatus comprising a first duct part, a second duct part and a mounting mechanism arranged to mount the first duct part on one side of the barrier and the second duct part on the other side of the barrier opposite thereto, to provide a duct for ducting conditioned air across the barrier. The barrier comprising bars or mesh, and the apparatus further comprising a seal arrangement to provide at least a partial seal across the bars or mesh. The mounting mechanism comprises a fastening mechanism for fastening the first and second duct parts to each other across the barrier, wherein the fastening mechanism is a keyhole-style fastening arrangement utilising a plurality of headed projections on a flange of the first duct part engagable with respective keyhole-style apertures on a flange of the second duct part.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COOLING THE BRAIN OF A HUMAN SUBJECT
A system for cooling the brain of a human subject, includes a cooling subsystem which inputs a flow of air or breathable gas, cool the air or breathable gas, and output cooled air or breathable gas which is delivered to a human subject. A flow control device controls a flow rate of the flow of the air or breathable gas input to the cooling subsystem and a flow rate of the cooled air or breathable gas delivered to the human subject. One or more flow rate sensors measure at least a flow rate of flow of cooled air or breathable gas. One or more temperature sensors measure at least a temperature of a brain and the temperature of the flow of cooled air or breathable gas. A controller adjusts a cooling rate, the temperature, and the flow rate of flow of cooled air or breathable gas delivered to the human subject to cool the brain of the human subject.
Patient thermal regulation systems
Disclosed herein are devices and systems that conduct temperature-controlled air through one or more enclosed chambers that are placed adjacent to a patient to help control the patient's temperature without blowing air directly on the patient. In some embodiments, the enclosed chamber has an air inlet and an air outlet and a defined air flow pathway therebetween. Air exiting the device can be directed away from the patient. The devices can include a crush-resistant but flexible air-flow layer of material inside the enclosure that allows air flow even when a patient is laying on the device. A cushioning layer can also be included overlaying the air-flow layer. The flowing air can be any desired temperature to help warm or cool a patient. The patient can be a human or animal, for example.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LOW TEMPERATURE ERADICATION OR REMOVAL OF ECTOPARASITES
This disclosure relates generally to a system and method for the delivery of cooled air selectably using a device with removable component which directs cooled air to a desired area at or near the hair of a subject. The device may have one or more components which may be quickly and easily removed and replaced.
