PNEUMATIC COMPRESSION DEVICE WITH VIBRATION AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A pneumatic compression assembly that includes a sleeve having an outer layer and an inner layer that defines a sleeve interior configured to receive a body part of a user, and at least a first vibration assembly configured to provide vibration to the body part of the user. A plurality of inflatable compartments are arranged longitudinally along the sleeve between the inner layer and the outer layer. The first vibration assembly includes a plurality of vibration motors positioned between the inner layer and the outer layer of the sleeve.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PORTABLY TREATING MUSCULAR DISCOMFORT
Approaches for portably and discreetly treating muscle cramping using one or more of a selectively controllable transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) unit and a heating element comprising resistive fabric. Cramping of the muscle may be detected with a surface electromyography (sEMG) unit. Artificial intelligence techniques may be applied using the sEMG signals and/or user input to identify effective treatment settings.
Electrically-heatable plaster
An electrically-heatable plaster that comprises a self-adhesive skin contact layer, an electrically-conductive textile fabric in which electrically-conductive fibres are in contact with one another, as a heating element, and optionally at least one active substance, as well as to a method for production and the use of same for local heat therapy and/or transdermal application of active substances.
Nasal mucosa heating and occlusion eyewear
The instant invention provides an eyewear piece having a nasal mucosa heating and occlusion apparatus. The eyewear piece includes a bridge extending substantially across the wearer's face and having flexible joints at opposite ends thereof to attach temples, which extends over the ears to keep the eyewear on the wearer's face. The bridge includes a housing and depending therefrom is a nasal frame having nasal passageways to provide heat into the nasal cavity. It is contemplated that other therapeutic remedies are offered to the wearer.
COMBINATION TREATMENT SYSTEMS
Controllers for dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. A controller is in communication with the one or more strips and is programmable to monitor a temperature of the one or more strips to provide a treatment therapy above a threshold temperature. Additionally forceps for mechanically expressing the Meibomian glands may be included with the strips and/or controller.
DEVICE FOR THE TREATMENT OF A MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION
The invention relates to a device (1) for treating a coronary lesion (2), the device comprising a coronary angioplasty catheter (3) presenting a first lumen (3c) for passing a guide wire (5) for guiding the catheter (3), and at least one balloon (3b) situated at said distal portion and connected to a second lumen for controlling the balloon (3d).
The device further comprises a heat exchanger (6), a pump (7), and at least one first coupling (8a) for coupling the device with a liquid reservoir (R) external to the device (1), the pump (7) being in fluid flow connection with the first coupling (8a), with the heat exchanger (6), and with the first lumen (3c) so as to force a flow of the liquid from the first coupling (8a) to the distal end of the first lumen (3c), after passing through the heat exchanger (R).
MULTI-FUNCTION HEATED GARMENT CAPABLE OF PERFORMING MULTIDIRECTIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY
A multi-function heated garment capable of performing multidirectional physical therapy includes a garment body, a hood, a heating control device, a quick charge source, and a heating load. The heating load includes at least one first carbon fiber heating sheet and a second carbon fiber heating sheet arranged inside the garment body and the hood, respectively. Second electrically conductive buttons provided on the garment body are buckled and electrically connected to first electrically conductive buttons provided on the hood. The hood can be connected or disconnected as required. The carbon fiber heating sheets share the quick charge source and the heating control device. It is safe and convenient to use. It can perform multi-directional heating and infrared physical therapy on various parts of the human body.
HEATING APPARATUS FOR AN ORTHOTIC DEVICE
An orthotic device includes an orthotic appliance formed by at least two laminate layers and a heating apparatus including a heating element embedded between the at least two layers of the orthotic appliance. The heating apparatus further includes a power supply operatively coupled to the heating element. The heating element selectively heats the orthotic appliance. The heating element includes a wireless receiving coil. The power supply includes a wireless charging transceiver such that when power is supplied to the wireless charging transceiver, a current is induced within the wireless receiving coil to supply power to the heating element.
Devices for applying a topical treatment
A device comprising a housing having a handle end and a treatment end. The treatment end is configured to provide an antimicrobial treatment and a heat treatment. The treatment end comprises an applicator having an applicator surface for providing at least the heat treatment. The device includes a heat generation unit configured to heat the applicator surface in use, a source of antimicrobial agent, and a control unit operatively connected to at least the heat generation unit for controlling the heat generation unit. The device can be a hand-held device and used to apply topical treatment to a treatment area of a subject.
