Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field

In methods for treating a patient, a time varying magnetic field is applied to a patient's body and causes a muscle contraction. The time-varying magnetic field may be monophasic, biphasic, polyphasic and/or static. The method may reduce adipose tissue, improve metabolism, blood and/or lymph circulation. The method may use combinations of treatments to enhance the visual appearance of the patient.

The terminal section and the gel-forming layer have a temperature of more than 30° C. below body temperature during a period of time prior and up to insertion. Also disclosed is method of insertion, an insertion assembly and a use of the device.

IMPLANTABLE DEVICES FOR THERMAL THERAPY AND RELATED METHODS
20170348146 · 2017-12-07 · ·

Methods and devices are disclosed herein that generally involve applying thermal therapy to tissue (e.g., localized cooling or heating of tissue), and in particular applying thermal therapy to the spinal canal, tissue disposed within the spinal canal, and/or nerve roots extending from the spinal canal. In some embodiments, tissue can be cooled or heated by implanting a malleable or deformable thermal device in proximity to the targeted tissue. The thermal device can be left in place following surgery to facilitate application of post-surgical thermal therapy. In some embodiments, the thermal device can be removed post-surgery in a minimally- or non-invasive manner. The thermal device can be connectionless or can include penetrable regions, pre-attached tubing, or detachable connectors to facilitate application of cooling or heating means to the device. Methods are disclosed for utilizing thermal devices and for carrying out various treatment regimens that involve cooling or heating tissue using such devices.

MEDICAL METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SKIN TREATMENT

The present invention generally relates to improved medical devices, systems, and methods, with exemplary embodiments providing improved cooling treatment probes and cooling treatment methods and systems. In some embodiments, freezing of the skin may be desirable to effect the hypopigmentation of the skin of the patient. Generally, embodiments may limit supercooling of the skin of the patient during a cooling treatment. Additionally, embodiments may limit adverse side effects such as hyperpigmentation. It has been found that the freezing behavior (frequency and time to freeze) can be modified by adjusting the thermal parameters of the cooling applicator. Accordingly, in some aspects of the invention, a method of treating the skin may be provided where the thermal parameters of the cooling applicator are adjusted during treatment.

WEARABLE OCULAR SURFACE TEMPERATURE MONITOR APPARATUS AND A SYSTEM USING THE SAME

A wearable ocular surface temperature monitor apparatus used to measure ocular surface temperatures can be mounted around on eye sockets or can be engaged with glasses. The apparatus comprises a frame and an ocular temperature monitor modular disposed on the frame. The ocular temperature monitor modular further includes a plurality of temperature sensors, a signal processing circuit and a transceiver circuit. The temperature sensors are aligned with ocular surfaces for measuring temperatures. The wireless transceiver circuit reads and records the electrical signals output from the temperature sensors, and outwards wirelessly transmits them by the transceiver circuit.
