SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COOLING OR HEATING A HUMAN BODY PART
A system for cooling or heating a body part includes at least one bladder, a pump, a heat exchanger, a first fluid line in fluid communication with the heat exchanger and the at least one bladder, a second fluid line in fluid communication with the at least one bladder and the heat exchanger, a main reservoir and a separator. The heat exchanger is in fluid communication with the pump. The first fluid line is located downstream from the heat exchanger and the second fluid line is located downstream from the at least one bladder when the system is operating to cool or heat the body part. The separator is in fluid communication with the main reservoir and the pump and is located below the main reservoir to receive fluid under the influence of gravity from the main reservoir and to deliver fluid to the pump via gravity.
MEDICINAL HERBAL COMPOSITION FOR EYE APPLICATION
An apparatus that includes a frame is for securely holding the medication pad with a moisturized medication compartment held by a holder. The frame holds the medication pad to apply the medication to the eyes wherein the frame further includes a controllable heating element for heating the medication pad. The medication pad further comprises a moisturized compartment containing moisturized extracts of herbal medication for generating and applying a medication steam to the eyes when the heating element is controlled to apply heat to the medication pad.
Thermal eye pod assembly
A thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently heating and/or cooling a plurality of thermal eye patch members, as desired. A portable thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently treating a user's recurring ophthalmic conditions, accelerating a user's healing process, and providing a user with a relatively faster means of pain relief.
THERAPEUTIC SLEEVE
A therapeutic sleeve includes a compression sleeve having an inner sheet and an outer sheet made of flexible fluid impervious material sealingly fixed together to form at least one air pocket therebetween. An inlet valve is fluidly connected to the at least one air pocket to fill the air pocket with air via a pump. The present invention further includes a liner including a sheet having an outer surface and an inner surface. At least one pocket is coupled to the outer surface. A first connector couples the inner surface of the liner to the inner sheet of the compression sleeve. A second connector is configured to removably couple the compression sleeve to itself when wrapped around a limb of an animal.
DEVICE FOR COOLING A BODY REGION
The invention relates to an device (1) for cooling and/or heating a body region, preferably a head region, comprising at least one thermally conductive skin contact material (2) and at least one Peltier element (3), wherein the Peltier element (3) is connected to the skin contact material (2), wherein a thermally conductive connecting element, in particular a thermally conductive film (5), and a heat dissipation element (12) are provided, wherein heat emitted via an outer side of the Peltier element (3) can be distributed to the heat dissipation element (12) via the connecting element.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TEMPERATURE MODULATION OF THE NOSTRILS, NASAL CAVITY, AND ORAL ENTRANCE
The disclosed devices and methods cool the nasal and/or oral cavity and perioral area, which in turn triggers a positive sensory reflex response to the brain leading to improvement of abnormally regulated cerebral vasomotor (brain arterial) tone which is thought to be the primary trigger factor for migraine headaches. Cooling is applied temporarily (10 to 30 minutes) to the inside of either or both nostrils. In some examples, the device is a single-use cooling bullet made from plastic (or other materials), has a conical, egg, nasal, oval, or other suitable shape and fits tightly to the inside of either nostril. The bullet may contain a nontoxic coolant (i.e., propylene glycol), water or other coolant which is kept at a cold state (e.g. 3-6 degrees Celsius below normal body temperature).
Smart cooling paste
A smart cooling system is disclosed. The smart cooling system includes: a cooling system body and a temperature sensing module, a touch display module and a control module. The cooling system body includes a carrier and a gel layer located on the carrier. The temperature sensing module, the touch display module and the control module are fixed on the carrier. A sensing surface of the temperature sensing module and a surface of the gel layer away from the carrier are in a same plane, for sensing temperature of forehead. The control module is used for obtaining a sensed temperature and transmitting the sensed temperature to the touch display module. A screen of the touch display module is located on a surface of the carrier away from the gel layer.
ANIMAL THERAPY DEVICE
An animal therapy device that allows for the effective pinpoint covering of an injury on the animal and securely holds that covering in place over that injury without causing undue discomfort to the animal and without being easily removed or displaced by the animal. Disclosed embodiments have a base portion sized to encircle a first uninjured portion of the animal, and a covering portion sized to encircle an injured portion of the animal, the covering portion having a neutral position in which it is substantially planar and an engaged position in which it operably conforms around the injured portion of the animal; and, an elongated member extending from the base portion to the covering portion whereby the base portion operably holds the covering portion in place over the injured portion of the animal. A temperature therapy device may be operably secured to the covering portion, and two or more covering portions may be secured to different injured areas on the animal. A second base mounting portion may be provided to further secure the animal therapy device to a second uninjured portion of the animal.
INTEGRATED MULTISECTIONAL HEAT EXCHANGER
A multi-sectional therapy wrap can include a first wrap section joined to a second wrap section through a specialized junction that allows the wrap sections to overlap. The junction can also be divided into two portions to facilitate fluid flow between one wrap section and the other wrap section.
HEAT EXCHANGE MODULE AND SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
A heat exchange module alone or part of a system including a control console. The module includes a channel assembly and a heat exchange stack attached thereto, and can be used to directly cool and/or heat tissue or skin. The channel assembly includes a liquid channel. The stack can include a pair of spaced plates with thermoelectric coolers exchangers, heat reflective layers, and a core composite layer which keeps the plates spaced. To provide flexibility of the module to better fit on round body parts the stack can include a thermally-conductive plate construction between the plates which has rotational flexibility axes in the X and/or Y directions between plate portions. Optionally the channel can include windows to which the plate portions are sealed. The heat exchange stack separately or together with the channel assembly can be secured in the thickness direction with mechanical securements such as sewing or tacking to also provide for greater flexibility.
