THERMAL THERAPY DEVICE FOR PROVIDING CONTROLLED HEATING AND COOLING VIA AN APPLIED TISSUE INTERACTING DEVICE
A thermal therapy device has a fluid manipulating device for thermally manipulating and circulating therapy providing fluid via flexible conduit to a tissue interacting device. The thermal therapy device utilizes a thermoelectric cooling device including a chilled fluid reservoir for extracting heat from the tissue being treated during the cold therapy cycle and utilizes a resistive electric heater for heating the tissue being treated during the hot therapy cycle.
Therapy boot with pockets for ice pack and compression bladder
The present invention comprises a therapy boot for treatment of the ankle or lower leg. The therapy boot comprises a hard outer shell having an open anterior portion, a base portion, a posterior portion, two oppositely disposed side portions, and a pocket with an opening provided in each of the side portions. The therapy boot also comprises an air bladder comprising two inflatable chambers, a corresponding one of the two inflatable chambers being disposed on an inside of each of the side portions. Respective gel packs are also provided which are adapted to be inserted into one of the respective openings of the pockets in between the air bladder and at least one of the lower leg or the ankle. The gel packs are pressed against at least one of the lower leg and the ankle by the corresponding inflatable chamber of the air bladder.
Wound and therapy compress and dressing
An article for therapy and treatment of at least one eye. The article includes a backing for application to the at least one eye. The backing includes at least one receiver positioned to align with the at least one eye. The article also includes at least one pod that is detachably secured within the at least one receiver. The at least one pod includes material for delivering therapy and treatment to the at least one eye.
Hand Therapy Kit and Electronic Guide
A hand therapy kit includes a housing having a lid that is expandable from a folded position to an unfolded position to expose a working surface on an inside of the lid. An elastic cord is attached at two or more anchor points on the working surface to define at least one gap for receiving a finger. The finger can be therapeutically exercised by moving from a first position proximal to the working surface to a second position distal to the working surface. The hand therapy kit can also include removable hand therapy modules, including a therapeutic tracking glove and/or a pressure sensor ball.
HEAT EXCHANGING PACK
A heat exchanging pack comprises a substance receiving portion, a first strap receiving portion disposed adjacent a first side of the substance receiving portion, a second strap receiving portion disposed adjacent a second side of the substance receiving portion, and a strap configured for releasably coupling the heat exchanging pack to a portion of a body. The strap includes a first portion extending through the first strap receiving portion, a second portion extending between the first strap receiving portion and the second strap receiving portion, a third portion extending through the second strap receiving portion, and a fourth portion extending out from the first strap receiving portion. The second portion and the fourth portion of the strap are configured to extend at least partially around a portion of a user in need of treatment to releasably couple the heat exchanging pack to the portion of the user.
Therapeutic Eye Pod System
An orbital temperature treatment kit has a new container base, hinged cover and handle. An inner partition in the base is a mount for electrical features and a heat exchanger with transfer fins and a heat sink. The inner partition has recesses for temperature change of pods held in spaces between parallel fins. The frame for holding the pods in place for treatment has two large lenses, a nose piece joining the lenses and hinged temples. The lenses support slotted receivers with fasteners that engage fasteners on tabs attached to the pods.
COOLING DEVICES
A cooling device includes a package substrate, a plurality of cooling units, and device electronics. The plurality of cooling units are configured to cool a user's body. Each cooling unit includes a plurality of semiconductor cooling elements sandwiched between a first cooling unit substrate and a second cooling unit substrate. Each of the cooling units is connected to the package substrate. The device electronics are coupled to the cooling units. The device electronics are configured to store a first cooling device profile that includes data indicating an amount of power to deliver to each of the cooling units over a period of time. The device electronics are configured to deliver power to the cooling units according to the first cooling device profile, wirelessly receive a second cooling device profile from an external computing device, and deliver power to the cooling units according to the second cooling device profile.
Thermal Eye Pod Assembly
A thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently heating and/or cooling a plurality of thermal eye patch members, as desired. A portable thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently treating a user's recurring ophthalmic conditions, accelerating a user's healing process, and providing a user with a relatively faster means of pain relief.
Heating body and method for producing the same
A heating body, in which a heat-generating composition that generates heat in the presence of air, is accommodated in a bag body formed by heat sealing a one-surface side laminated base material including a first base material and a second base material, and a covering material, at a peripheral edge portion thereof. The first base material has a nonwoven fabric layer and a heat sealable resin layer; and the second base material is a sheet in which an olefin-based nonwoven fabric layer and a resin film are laminated using an olefin-based resin. The first base material and the second base material are capable of forming a space into which a body part can be inserted or held. The heat sealable resin layer and the nonwoven fabric layer are bonded together, and the resin film of the second base material and the covering material are bonded together.
THERAPY BOOT WITH POCKETS FOR ICE PACK AND COMPRESSION BLADDER
The present invention comprises a therapy boot for treatment of the ankle or lower leg. The therapy boot comprises a hard outer shell with an open anterior portion, a base portion, a posterior portion, and two oppositely disposed side portions extending from the base portion and connected to the posterior portion. At least one pocket with an opening may be provided in the hard outer shell. An inflatable chamber may be disposed on an inside of the at least one pocket. A respective gel pack may be adapted to be inserted into the at least one pocket through the opening to provide heat or cold to at least one of the lower leg and the ankle. Upon pressurization of the inflatable chamber, the respective gel pack is configured to be pressed against at least one of the lower leg and the ankle.
