ARTHRITIS TREATMENT SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

An arthritis treatment system includes a cooling treatment mechanism for administering a cooling treatment protocol to a patient. The system also includes a heating treatment mechanism for administering a heating treatment protocol to the patient, distinctly and simultaneously with the cooling treatment protocol. The system further includes a controller for controlling both the cooling and heating treatment mechanisms. The arthritis treatment system simultaneously provides the cooling and heating treatment protocols to the patient, and the controller algorithmically adjusts the cooling and heating treatment protocols.

Freezable pad for pain relief

A pad for treating a perineal area of a woman before or after childbirth includes a foam layer and a substance integrated with the foam layer. The foam layer is flexible, so that it can conform to the perineal area of the woman. The pad may optionally include a skin contact layer made of an impermeable material. The foam layer and/or the optional skin contact layer may include openings, such as perforations or slits. A method of using the pad may involve placing the pad in the perineal area before or after childbirth. The pad may be frozen, cooled or heated before use, in different embodiments.

A thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently heating and/or cooling a plurality of thermal eye patch members, as desired. A portable thermal eye pod assembly for use in efficiently treating a user's recurring ophthalmic conditions, accelerating a user's healing process, and providing a user with a relatively faster means of pain relief.

Men's Garment for Recovery After Urological Procedures, Genital Surgery and Genital Injury

A garment is provided to be worn post-surgery during recovery from urological surgical procedure. The garment is in the form of men's underwear or brief, with features provided to assist in recovery and comfort of the user. The garment includes a center flap that can be opened to provide access to a center pocket that is aligned with the user's crotch. The center pocket contains a moldable body that can be molded to a particular shape to support and hold the user's penis in a pre-determined orientation to facilitate the recovery process. The flap also includes a pocket that can contain a heating/cooling pack that is arranged to apply heat/cooling to the surgical site. The garment is also configured to accept and support a medical drainage tube to drain the surgical wound, and a drainage pump as needed.

SURGICAL DRAPE FOR THERMAL TREATMENT BASIN

A drape for a piece of equipment used during a medical procedure may be formed of a flexible sheet of polymeric material. The flexible sheet can have a basin portion shape-indexed to a basin or reservoir of the piece of equipment over which the drape is intended to be draped. The flexible sheet can also have a side sheet portion connected to the basin portion. The side sheet portion can drape down the basin or reservoir of the piece of equipment over which the drape is draped. The basin portion of the flexible sheet can be collapsible. As a result, the drape can be collapsed into planar package for storage. Upon being removed from the package, the basin portion of the drape can be expanded to conform to the walls of the basin of the piece of equipment over which the drape is deployed.
