LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOSITION AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE THEREOF

Provided is a liquid crystal composition, comprising: 1-30% of one or more compounds of general formula I; 1-50% of one or more compounds of general formula II; 1-20% of one or more compounds of general formula III; 20-70% of one or more compounds of general formula IV; and 1-30% of one or more compounds of general formula V. The liquid crystal composition has properties such as a large maximum absolute transmittance, a high voltage holding ratio, better anti-UV properties, and high temperature reliability, and has a suitable optical anisotropy, a suitable dielectric anisotropy, and a relatively high clearing point, and is environmentally friendly. The liquid crystal composition is suitable for use in a liquid crystal display device, especially a transmissive liquid crystal display element, enabling the liquid crystal display device to have properties such as a high maximum absolute transmittance, a high voltage holding ratio, good anti-UV properties and high temperature reliability, and to be energy-saving and environmentally-friendly.

LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOUNDS OF CYCLOALKYL-CONTAINING DIBENZOFURAN DERIVATIVES, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND USE THEREOF

Disclosed are liquid crystal compounds of cycloalkyl-containing dibenzofuran derivatives, a preparation method therefor and use thereof. The compounds are as represented by formula I. In the molecular structures of the compounds of formula I provided by the present invention, liquid crystal compounds of cycloalkyl terminal group-containing dibenzofuran derivatives, compared with those having flexible alkyl chains as terminal groups, exhibit better intersolubility, and thus the use of a compound as represented by formula I provided by the present invention can improve the intersolubility of a liquid crystal compound and extend the application range of a liquid crystal mixture, producing an important application value.

Liquid crystal composition and display device thereof

The present invention discloses a liquid crystal composition and a display device containing the same. The liquid crystal composition comprises one or more compounds of general Formula I; one or more compounds of general Formula II; and one or more compounds of general Formula III. The liquid crystal composition provided in the present invention has the properties of large optical and dielectric anisotropies, high clearing point, fast response speed, high resistivity, and good high-temperature and UV stability, and is applicable to a liquid crystal display (LCD), and particularly an LCD display requiring fast response speed, such that a good display effect of images without ghosting can be achieved when the LCD display works in a harsh environment. ##STR00001##

POLYMERIZABLE COMPOSITION AND OPTICALLY ANISOTROPIC BODY

The polymerizable composition prevents precipitation and the like of crystals and has high storage stability. A polymer compound is added to the polymerizable composition. In a case where a film-shaped polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition is prepared, a tilt angle formed with an air interface is small, and glances of reflected light when a circularly polarizing plate is obtained by combining the polymer with a polarizing plate are removed. In addition, there is provided a polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition, and an optically anisotropic body using the polymer. The polymerizable composition includes a reverse dispersible compound represented by General Formula (I), and a compound represented by General Formula (II).
