The use of the extenders 10 may allow the garment 1 to provide compression to decrease milk supply when desired.

CORDLESS HEATING PAD
20200375791 · 2020-12-03 ·

A heating pad includes a heat pad with an anterior and posterior side. The heat pad includes a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The second layer is located in between the first layer and the third layer. The first layer is located on the posterior side, while the third layer is located on the anterior side. The second layer has a wire selectively heated to increase the temperature of the heat pad. The third layer is a reflective material positioned to reflect heat from the second layer towards the first layer, decreasing heat emitted on the anterior side of the heat pad. The heating pad also includes a battery storage section for securing a battery. The battery is in electronical communication with the wire of the heat pad. The heating pad further includes an engagement mechanism to secure the heating pad to a user.

Selective brain cooling system
20200368062 · 2020-11-26 ·

A selective brain cooling system for controlling the temperature of the brain of a patient, the system comprising a headliner and/or neck brace, and one or more thermoelectric cooling elements.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL AGENT, AND HEAT-GENERATING COMPOSITION AND WARMING DEVICE EACH USING SAME

A means can be used instead of or with conventional temperature control to achieve warming device temperature control at a lower cost, prevent or reduce deterioration of a warming device over time, and lower generated heat temperature due to storage at high temperatures. The warming device can be used for the same. A higher level temperature control means can be used for warming devices for medical applications. An improved warming device can be used for medical applications with a high level of safety and efficacy. A temperature control agent controls a maximum temperature of a warming device with a heat generating composition that generates heat by reaction with oxygen. Said agent includes an aliphatic compound that has a particle form that will not pass through a standard sieve with a #60 mesh, a melting point of 35-65 C., and an aqueous solubility (g/100 mL) at 20 C. of 5.

Integrated heater on facial skincare mask

A package comprises a mask; and an inactive heater, wherein the mask includes at least one product layer having infused thereon at least one active, and wherein the inactive heater is located in or in proximity to the mask to transfer heat to the mask upon activation of the heater.

SELF-ADHERING THERAPY PACK
20200306078 · 2020-10-01 ·

A therapy pack system provides a reusable self-adhering therapy pack to skin. The therapy pack may be for example, an ice pack, heat pack or hot and cold pack. A sticky polymer gel is mounted onto a polymer casing of the therapy pack. The polymer gel is re-usable to attach the therapy pack to a user's skin at the site needing therapy. The polymer gel also buffers the skin from heat or freezer burn associated with applying a hot/cold pack to skin for an extended period. A chloride based compound may be added to the polymer gel to prevent the gel from freezing. In some embodiments, a non-woven fabric patch may support the polymer gel adhesive providing an additional layer of protection to the skin while simultaneously allowing the gel to self-adhere the therapy pack to the user.

PORTABLE HEATING APPARATUS WITH TEMPERATURE-RETAINING COMPONENT
20200281046 · 2020-09-03 ·

A portable heating apparatus includes a top layer and a bottom layer connected to the top layer to form a cavity. An electric heating element is disposed within the cavity, and a temperature-retaining component, such as a gel layer, is affixed within the cavity adjacent to the electric heating element and adjacent to the top layer. A power cord is in electrical communication with the electric heating element and connectable to a power source to provide power to the electric heating element, the power cord detachable from the portable heating apparatus. The temperature-retaining component is capable of retaining heat generated by the electric heating element and creating a generally uniform distribution of heat across the top layer.

WEIGHTED MEDICAL BLANKET FOR WARMING AND COOLING
20200229967 · 2020-07-23 ·

A weighted medical blanket is provided for containing a polymer gel; the device of the invention maintains consistent weight over time and can be warmed or cooled to be applied to patients to provide heating or cooling and can be easily cleaned, reused, and its weight reconstituted through the insertion of water through an insertion valve and insertion sleeve suited to reduce flow out of the device. Disclosed is a method for alleviating post-operative shivering utilizing the device of the invention.

Multilayer film for disposable body warmer outer bag, and disposable body warmer

Provided is a multilayer film for a disposable body warmer outer bag, and a disposable body warmer, which are excellent in gas barrier property that inhibits permeation of oxygen gas, water vapor and the like, which can allow swelling due to hydrogen gas generated during a storage period to be prevented, and which are excellent in seal strength, impact resistance and weather resistance. A disposable body warmer outer bag formed from a multilayer film comprising a first barrier layer (10) and a second barrier layer (20), wherein the first barrier layer (10) and the second barrier layer (20) consist of a polyvinylidene chloride layer (12) or a polyvinylidene chloride layer (22) obtained by coating at least one surface (upper portion in FIG. 1) of a heat-resistant resin substrate (11) or a heat-resistant resin substrate (21) with polyvinylidene chloride.

AN ELECTRICAL ACTIVE UNIT FOR GENERATING A PHYSICAL EFFECT, TEXTILE ELEMENT INCLUDING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING SAID ELECTRICAL ACTIVE UNIT
20200170314 · 2020-06-04 ·

An electrical active unit (100) for generating a physical effect such as heat, cold or light emission, with a particular application to a temperature regulation system for regulating the temperature of a body, or to a light emission system to be worn by such a portion of a body. The electrical active unit (100) comprises a textile support (102) supporting: an active element (101) adapted for generating said physical effect; at least one electrical connection point (104) adapted to be connected to a power source and a controlling unit, and located on said active element (101); a sensor (106) adapted for being connected to the power source and the controlling unit, such that the electrical active unit may be connected to the power source and the controlling unit via the connection point in order to allow the powering of the active element by the power source and the activation/deactivation of said active element by the controlling unit depending on data sensed by the sensor. The textile support (102) has a first face and a second face opposite to said first face, the at least one connection point (104) being located solely on the first face, the active element (101) being embedded in the textile support (102) so as to form a determined pattern on the first and second faces. The pattern can avoid electrical current discharged from the connection points (104) through the second face, thereby avoiding direct contact between the skin and hot spots located at connection points (104).
