Disclosed are a liquid crystal composition, a liquid crystal display element, and a liquid crystal display, said liquid crystal composition comprising one or more compounds represented by formula I, one or more compounds represented by formula II, one or more compounds represented by formula III and one or more compounds represented by formula IV, ##STR00001##
The liquid crystal composition of the present invention has a good stability to light and heat and a lower viscosity, and can attain a wider refractive index and a high clearing point (a wide service temperature range), and in particular, the liquid crystal composition has a high light transmittance, thus allowing a display device to have a high brightness or an energy saving effect.

Liquid crystal display device

The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal composition disposed between said first substrate and said second substrate, wherein said first substrate and said second substrate are disposed in parallel and opposite to each other, with the distance between said first substrate and said second substrate being 2.5 μm to 3.2 μm; alignment layers are disposed on the sides of said first and second substrates that are close to said liquid crystal composition; and said alignment layers are provided with vertical alignment films that allow liquid crystal molecules in said liquid crystal composition to be arranged roughly perpendicular to said first or second substrate.

Display panel

A display panel includes a first substrate, an electrode layer, and a display medium layer. The electrode layer is disposed on the first substrate. The display medium layer is disposed on the electrode layer and includes a filler and liquid crystal capsules. The liquid crystal capsules are distributed in the filler, and the filler has a birefringence difference Δn in a range from 0.02 to 0.175.

Provided are a difluoromethoxy-bridge liquid crystal compound containing methyl-substituted 2,3-difluorophenyl, a liquid crystal composition containing the compound, and a liquid crystal display element and a liquid crystal display, wherein said liquid crystal composition is represented by the following formula I: ##STR00001##

The display panel includes a thin film transistor substrate, a color film substrate, a polymer layer structure, and a liquid crystal layer. During the preparation, after three different irradiations, the liquid crystal material is directly polymerized into the first polymer layer structure and the second polymer layer structure under the irradiations, eliminating the black matrix structure and the polyimide alignment film structure, improving the display effect of the panel, and reducing preparation costs.
