TEMPERATURE TREATMENT APPARATUS
A temperature treatment apparatus includes a body made from a flexible and expandable material for attachment to a predetermined region of the human body requiring treatment with the body having a space formed therein, and a temperature radiating element shaped to be received within the space of the body and being configured to have a soft and malleable shape profile to apply temperature treatment to the predetermined region of the human body. The temperature radiating element includes an inner pouch containing a first phase change material that is able to be inserted within an outer pouch having a second phase change material, so that, upon insertion, the inner pouch is substantially encapsulated within the second phase change material of the outer pouch.
Item of headwear for cooling the head
Headwear for cooling the neurocranium region of a user's head and thereby the user's brain. In particular, the headwear provides selective cooling to specific areas of the parietal region, the frontal region, the temporal region and the occipital region of the cranium associated with the drainage system of the brain following a traumatic injury.
Water perfusion heat exchange pad for control of skin temperature
Heat exchange pads for use on a patient are described herein. An example heat exchange pad can include a surface defining an internal volume and having a flexible patient contacting portion, an inlet fluidly connected to the internal volume for delivery of fluid into the internal volume, an outlet fluidly connected to the internal volume for removal of fluid from the internal volume, and at least one extended surface structure positioned within the internal volume to disrupt laminar flow of fluid from the inlet to the outlet.
Cooling Pad Device
The present invention relates to a cooling pad device that is comprised of a cooling filling, an internal pad, and a cover. The body of the device further preferably resembles the size and dimensions of any mattress size or shape for any age or demographic and is comprised of a flexible or semi-flexible material. The device can be attached to a fitted bed sheet by at least one fastener, and upon weight activation, emit a cold temperature from internal gel packets to reduce fever. In differing embodiments, the cover of the device may have a plurality of indicia such as but not limited to: patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letter, number, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, etc.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE
A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
ORAL COOLING DEVICE UTILIZING COOLING BALLOON
Proposed is an oral cooling device using a cooling balloon, including: a cooling water supply portion provided with a cooler that cools cooling water and a pump that supplies and recovers the cooling water; a cooling water hose portion connected to the cooling water supply portion to transfer the supplied cooling water and recover the recovered cooling water to the cooling water supply portion; and a cooling balloon portion which is connected to an end portion of the cooling water hose portion, expands by the supplied cooling water to cool an inside of an oral cavity of a patient after being inserted into a mouth of the patient, and contracts in a case where the cooling water is recovered to the cooling water supply portion.
Portable thermal therapy and support apparatus for emergency medical treatment
A thermal therapy headgear for a patient includes a plurality of thermal reaction compartments, a liquid chamber, a gas chamber, and a gas container. The thermal reaction compartments contain a first of at least two thermal reaction components, and the liquid chamber contains the second thermal reaction component. The gas container has therein a pressurized gas and a gas valve for selectively releasing the pressurized gas into the gas chamber. The gas in the gas chamber will apply pressure to the liquid chamber and force the second thermal reaction component through the valve and into the thermal reaction compartments to react and transfer heat with the patient, and the presence of the gas within the gas chamber will cushion the patient. A method for conducting hypothermic therapy is also disclosed.
DEFORMABLE THERMAL PACK
A thermal pack including: a flexible pouch body having a plurality of pouch segments each defining a cavity; and one or more hook and loop straps attached to a first end of the pouch body, where the pouch body has an opening for accepting a second end of the hook and loop strap for securing the pouch body to a body part. The thermal pack can also include a bendable and deformable support frame having at least two twisted wires on at least two longer sides of the pouch body and/or metallic cubes disposed in each of the cavities of the pouch segments, each of the metallic cubes having a metallic shell defining a cavity with a freezable substance.
Simultaneous thermal and cooling therapeutic device
A therapeutic device combines both hot and cold therapy to work simultaneously together. The therapeutic device has a first portion being made of a material capable of being heated to a first temperature and a second portion having a fastener capable of connecting to a cold pack having a second temperature. The application of both hot and cold to the site of an injury of a user stimulates blood circulation to an injured muscle with heat and reduces inflammation with cold to facilitate a faster and more efficient recovery process of the afflicted area.
FERTILITY-ENHANCING COOLING SEAT
A fertility-enhancing cooling seat for lowering temperatures of human testicles so as to increase sperm quality and quantity. The cooling seat includes: a top flexible portion and a base portion; a bottom flexible portion coupled to the top flexible portion, the bottom flexible portion forming a seal with the base portion, portions of the bottom flexible portion and portions of the top flexible portion defining isolated cooling cells with cooling-cell volumetric spaces; a phase-change material located in the cooling-cell volumetric spaces, the phase-change material configured to change from a solid phase to a liquid phase at a first temperature and that is configured to change from a liquid phase to a solid phase at a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature. At least one of the isolated cooling cells defines a diameter that is larger than a diameter of the other of the cooling cells.
