HEAT PADS COMPRISING SPIRAL HEAT CELLS
The invention relates to heat products for single treatment and/or as self-therapy in the event of acute, recurrent and/or chronic states of pain, comprising heat-generating materials arranged in spiral form.
THERAPEUTIC EYE MASK SYSTEM
A therapeutic mask system for treatment of the eyes, including a mask portion for attachment to the head of a patient and an eye coverage pod that is detachably coupled to the mask portion. The mask portion can include an eye coverage portion comprising a receiver in which the pod is releasably secured. The pods can also be directly secured to a mask strap. The pod includes material for delivering thermal, moisture and/or medication therapy and treatment to the eye. The system can also include a heat-transmissive treatment pad positioned between the pod and the eye of the user.
DRY EYE COMPRESS WITH HEAT REFLECTIVE COVER
The disclosure concerns an improved system for administering moisture therapy to a patient, the system including: a conventional moisture therapy compress, and a therapeutically adaptive cover configured to contain the conventional moisture therapy compress and further adapted to communicate a therapeutic delivery of hot or cold moisture through a fluid permeable material to a treatment site of a patient. The therapeutically adaptive cover communicates hot or cold moisture therapy while isolating the compress from the treatment site, allowing for re-use of the compress by way of replacing the cover, or washing the cover prior to subsequent use for maintaining optimum sterility and cleanliness. Other features and advantages are disclosed in the appended detailed description of the preferred embodiments.
THERMOREGULATORY GLOVE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CONVERGENCE IN BODY TEMPERATURE
The present disclosure provides for a thermoregulatory glove for reducing sleep latency. The thermoregulatory glove includes a gel pocket with a gel pack disposed inside of the gel pocket. A method for producing a convergence in body temperature of a subject includes heating the thermoregulatory glove, placing the heated thermoregulatory glove on a hand of the subject, and cooling the thermoregulatory glove.
Temperature and Visibility Regulated Therapy Device
A topical temperature therapy device that imparts known temperatures as a function of time to the therapy skin surface of a user during the course of therapy. The skin surface can be intact or breached through injury or surgery. The therapy temperature and time profile can be varied by varying the selections of, among several parameters, the formulation of the heat exchange material and the material and dimensions of the heat exchange material container, thus meeting the needs of a wide range of injuries and demographics. The therapy device contains a temperature indicator indicating the temperature of the heat exchange material in real time. The therapy device further provides visibility to the therapy skin surface during the course of the therapy to allow visual inspection of the therapy area as means to improve therapeutic outcomes. The therapy device is flexible and conforms to the anatomy of the therapy area.
HEAT PADS COMPRISING ANNULAR HEAT CELLS
The invention relates to heat products for single treatment and/or as self-therapy in the event of acute, recurrent and/or chronic states of pain, comprising heat-generating materials arranged in annular form.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE
A method for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may involve delivering heat to a first location on a limb of the patient, delivering heat to a second location on the limb, apart from the first location, and applying intermittent compression to a third location on the limb, located between the first location and the second location. A device for maintaining and/or increasing body temperature of a patient may include a sleeve for positioning over at least part of one of the patient's limbs, first and second heat delivery members coupled with the sleeve, and an intermittent compression member coupled with the sleeve between the first and second heat delivery members.
HEAD COOLING DEVICE
A head cooling device includes a central portion that has a predetermined volume of space and is seated on a top portion of the user's head; and a plurality of wing portions radially connected to the central portion and extending in a fan shape, wherein each of the wing portions includes a plurality of chambers each having a predetermined volume of space in which a phase change material is charged, and a plurality of bridges configured to partition and connect each of the plurality of chambers. The central portion and each of the plurality of chambers further incudes a cushioning member to protect the user's head and improve safety by absorbing and alleviating an impact applied from outside.
COOLING BEACH BLANKET
A personal cooling system for controlling personal body temperature at the beach comprises a first layer having a first edge region defining a size and a shape of the first layer, the first layer comprising a cooling gel pack, wherein the gel pack has an outer surface and a plurality of compartments for storing a temperature-controlling ingredient therein; a second layer having a second edge region defining a size and a shape of the second layer; and an outside bag, to an inside surface of the outside bag the first layer and the second layer are attached. The second layer in the system further comprises a liquid dispenser that is embedded in the mesh material of the second layer. The actions of the cooling system and the dispenser can be controlled by a remote controller.
THERAPUETIC DEVICE FOR HEATING AND ICING BODY PARTS
Systems and methods for treating and rehabilitating animals are provided. The systems and methods include harnesses and related devices, including compresses and heating/icing devices. The devices further include and comprise features to enable the device to be contoured to and secured to an animal. Animals contemplated for use with devices and methods of the present disclosure include, but are not limited to, canines and humans.
