AMINE-BASED POLYMER, A PREPARATION PROCESS THEREOF AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides an amine-based polymer, a preparation process thereof and use thereof. The amine-based polymer of the present invention is characterized in that said amine-based polymer contains a polymer main chain, and a structure represented by formula (I) is attached onto the polymer main chain, and said structure is attached to the polymer main chain via an attaching end present in at least one of Group G, Group G and Group A in the structure,
##STR00001##
wherein each of the groups is defined as in the description.
The amine-based polymer of the present invention is suitably used as a detergent, particularly suitably used as a fuel detergent. The amine-based polymer of the present invention is useful as a fuel detergent, and has an extraordinarily excellent detergency and dispersion properties.

Associative polymers and related compositions, methods and systems
Described herein are associative polymers capable of controlling a physical and/or chemical property of non-polar compositions and related compositions, methods and systems. Associative polymers herein described have a non-polar backbone and functional groups presented at ends of the non-polar backbone, with a number of the functional groups presented at the ends of the non-polar backbone formed by associative functional groups capable of undergoing an associative interaction with another associative functional group with an association constant (k) such that the strength of each associative interaction is less than the strength of a covalent bond between atoms and in particular less than the strength of a covalent bond between backbone atoms.

Associative polymers for mist-control
Polymeric mist control materials, methods of forming polymeric mist control materials, and methods of using such materials for mist control are provided. The polymeric mist control additives are formed of molecules comprised predominantly of monomers that confer high solubility in fuel and include associative groups that attract each other in donor-acceptor manner, and are incorporated such that multiple associative groups are in close proximity (clusters), such that the clusters are separated by very long non-associative sequences.
Poly (Vinyl Carprolactam) Kinetic Gas Hydrate Inhibitor and Method for Preparing the Same
The present disclosure provides a poly(vinyl caprolactam) polymer obtained by polymerizing a vinyl lactam compound in a polymerization solvent system comprising an alkylene carbonate and/or an alkyl lactate and a polymerization initiator. The poly(vinyl caprolactam) polymer, in admixture with the polymerization solvent system, may be used as a kinetic gas hydrate inhibitor to prevent or inhibit formation of natural gas and/or liquid hydrocarbon hydrates in a system.
CLOUD POINT DEPRESSANT FOR MIDDLE DISTILLATE FUELS
Disclosed are cloud point depressants and methods of making and using them. The disclosed cloud point depressants comprise copolymers of a maleic moiety polymerized with alpha olefins and then contacted with an aliphatic tertiary amine to provide a cloud depressant reaction product. When the disclosed reactions products are added to middle distillate fuels or blends of middle distillate fuels with biodiesel, the cloud point depressants inhibit the precipitation of waxes and/or biowaxes in the fuels and the fuels exhibit reduced precipitation, gelling, and/or crystallization when subjected to low or cold temperatures.
