Multifunctional additive compounds
The present disclosure generally relates to a multifunctional additive obtained from the reaction of: (a) an intermediate obtained from the reaction of maleic anhydride and a polyoxyalkylene monoamine; and (b) an amine compound comprising a primary amine group and/or a secondary amine group and its use in a variety of applications, including, but not limited to: as a corrosion inhibitor or friction modifier in aqueous and non-aqueous systems; in fuel deposit control agents; as a dispersant in pigment, asphalt and cement compositions; and as a detergent.
Additive compositions and use thereof for improving the cold properties of fuels and combustibles
The present disclosure relates to additive compositions and their use for improving the low temperature properties of motor fuels and fuels. The additive compositions include at least one modified alkylphenol-aldehyde resin and at least one filterability additive chosen from: the terpolymers of C.sub.4 to C.sub.22 alkyl (meth)acrylate, C.sub.20 to C.sub.24 alpha-olefin and maleimide N-substituted by a hydrocarbon chain having between 4 and 30 carbon atoms, the homopolymers of C.sub.1 to C.sub.40 alkyl (meth)acrylate, preferably the C.sub.8 to C.sub.24 alkyl polyacrylates, the ammonium salts of mono- or poly-carboxylic acid comprising at least one linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon chain, having between 4 and 30 carbon atoms. The present disclosure also relates to compositions of motor fuels or liquid hydrocarbon fuels including such compositions.

WAX TREATMENT AND METHOD OF USE
A method of controlling wax deposition within a fluid, the method including admixing an additive composition with the fluid, wherein the additive composition includes one or more biosurfactants and one or more additional additives independently selected from (i) a sulfonic acid or salt thereof, (ii) a polymeric wax inhibitor and (iii) an alkoxylated alcohol and/or amine compound.
PROCESS FOR REDUCTION OF ASPHALTENES FROM MARINE FUELS
A process dissolves or disperses asphaltenes from marine fuels by using at least one quaternary ammonium compound. A weight ratio of saturates to asphaltenes in the marine fuel is at least 4.0. A marine fuel is produced that includes saturates, aromatics, and asphaltenes in addition to at least one quaternary ammonium compound. Another process reduces or prevents fouling caused by asphaltenes in a marine fuel.
PROCESS FOR REDUCTION OF ASPHALTENES FROM MARINE FUELS
A process dissolves or disperses asphaltenes from marine fuels by using at least one quaternary ammonium compound. A weight ratio of saturates to asphaltenes in the marine fuel is at least 4.0. A marine fuel is produced that includes saturates, aromatics, and asphaltenes in addition to at least one quaternary ammonium compound. Another process reduces or prevents fouling caused by asphaltenes in a marine fuel.
USE AND METHOD
The use of nitrogen-containing compounds as additives in a diesel fuel composition to reduce the impact of deposits in the post combustion system of a diesel engine when combusting said diesel fuel composition. The nitrogen-containing compounds comprise at least 4% by mass of nitrogen atoms and in some embodiments fewer than five NH bonds.
Methods and uses relating to fuel compositions
A method of cleaning up deposits in an indirect injection diesel engine, the method including combusting in the engine a diesel fuel composition having a quaternary ammonium salt additive; and optionally one or more further nitrogen-containing detergents; wherein the quaternary ammonium salt additive comprises the quaternised reaction product of a hydrocarbyl substituted succinic acid derived acylating agent and a compound able to react with said acylating agent and which includes a tertiary amine group; wherein each molecule of the hydrocarbyl substituted succinic acid derived acylating agent includes on average at least 1.2 succinic acid moieties.
Gasoline additive composition for improved engine performance
The present disclosure provides fuel additives including Mannich detergent additive(s) and Mannich-based quaternary ammonium salt detergent additive(s) effective to improve engine performance in both port fuel injected and gasoline direct injection engines.
