Crosslinked polyethylene glycol polymer membranes for gas separation
A polymer membrane, methods of gas separation utilizing the polymer membrane, and methods of producing the polymer membrane are disclosed herein. The polymer membrane includes a crosslinked polyethylene glycol network polymer according to formula (I): ##STR00001##
Cyclic amine for selectively removing hydrogen sulphide
The use of an amine of the formula (I) ##STR00001##
in which the R.sup.1 to R.sup.5 radicals are each as defined in the description, and an absorbent and a process for removing acidic gases from a fluid stream, especially for selectively removing hydrogen sulfide over carbon dioxide. The invention also relates to particular amines suitable for selective removal of hydrogen sulfide. Absorbents based on amines of the formula (I) have high selectivity, high loading capacity and good regeneration capacity.
Method and apparatus for cleaning contaminated gas in a reactor with rubber material
A method and apparatus for cleaning a contaminated gas, the method comprising passing the contaminated gas through at least two cleaning stages of rubber material through which water flows, wherein the gas and the water pass cocurrently though the at least two stages of rubber material.
Apparatus and system for swing adsorption processes related thereto
Provided are apparatus and systems for performing a swing adsorption process. This swing adsorption process may involve passing an input feed stream through two swing adsorption systems as a purge stream to remove contaminants, such as water, from the respective adsorbent bed units. The wet purge product stream is passed to a solvent based gas treating system, which forms a wet hydrocarbon rich stream and a wet acid gas stream. Then, the wet hydrocarbon rich stream and the wet acid gas stream are passed through one of the respective swing adsorption systems to remove some of the moisture from the respective wet streams.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UPGRADING BIOGAS
A method for providing renewable natural gas (RNG) includes removing hydrogen sulfide and/or carbon dioxide from biogas to provide partially purified biogas, which may be stored in a mobile storage tank. The partially purified biogas is transported to a biogas upgrading facility, at least partially by truck, rail, or ship. At the biogas upgrading facility, the partially purified biogas is further purified to provide the RNG, which can be injected into a distribution system (e.g., natural gas grid) and/or provided for use in transportation.
Catalytic conversion of DSO in presence of water
The present invention relates to a method for the catalytic conversion in vapor phase of disulfide oil into methane and hydrogen sulfide, comprising the step of contacting disulfide oil, eventually in the presence of water, with a supported transition metal catalyst.
Development of a novel high temperature stable scavenger for removal of hydrogen sulfide
The present disclosure provides compositions and methods that are useful in removing, lowering the amount of, or otherwise controlling hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans. The compositions and methods can be used in any industry where hydrogen sulfide poses problems, such as when dealing with crude oil based, natural gas based, and/or coal based products. The present disclosure provides compositions and methods that can reduce the amount of or eliminate hydrogen sulfide in a variety of mediums.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DESULFURIZING NATURAL GAS
A device includes a desulfurization system which forms a hydrogen sulfide-containing acid gas; a system for extracting elemental sulfur and a hydrogen sulfide-containing tail gas as exhaust gas; a device for generating electricity and gypsum from the tail gas; and a gas line system for supplying acid gas from the desulfurization system to the system for extracting elemental sulfur and to the device for generating electricity and gypsum, and for supplying tail gas from the system for extracting elemental sulfur to the device for generating electricity and gypsum. The gas line system has a gas distributing apparatus which supplies acid gas solely to the system in a first position, supplies acid gas solely to the device in a second position, and supplies a first part of the acid gas to the system and a second part of the acid gas to the device in a distributing position.
DIGESTER COMPRISING AN OXYGEN INJECTION SYSTEM HAVING A TUBULAR MEANS COMPRISING A T-SHAPED PORTION
A plant for producing at least partially desulfurized biogas, comprising a biomass digester and/or post-digester, the digester and/or post-digester comprising: a chamber (1) comprising the biomass (2) and the gas space (3), and a system (6) for injecting an oxidizing gas into the gas space,
wherein the injection system comprises a tubular means (4) comprising a T-shaped portion the vertical bar of which is placed in the axis of symmetry of the chamber and the horizontal bar of which has micro-injectors (5).
Removal of acid gases from a gas stream, with O2 enrichment for acid gas capture and sequestration
A method and apparatus for processing a hydrocarbon gas stream including sulfurous components and carbon dioxide. The hydrocarbon gas stream is separated into a sweetened gas stream and an acid gas stream. The acid gas stream and an air stream, enriched with oxygen such that the air stream comprises between 22% and 100% oxygen, are combusted in a sulfur recovery unit to separate the acid gas stream into a liquid stream of elemental sulfur and a tail gas stream comprising acid gas impurities. The tail gas stream and an air flow are sub-stoichiometrically combusted to produce an outlet stream comprising hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide. The outlet stream is hydrogenated to convert sulfur species to a gaseous catalytic output stream comprising hydrogen sulfide. Water is removed from the gaseous catalytic output stream to produce a partially-dehydrated acid gas stream, which is pressurized and injected into a subsurface reservoir.
