BIOACTIVE MATERIALS
Bioactive coatings that include a base and a protein associated with the base for actively promoting the removal of organic stains are provided. In aspects, bioactive coatings that are stabilized against inactivation by weathering are provided including a base associated with a chemically modified enzyme, and, optionally a first polyoxyethylene present in the base and independent of the enzyme. The coatings are optionally overlayered onto a substrate to form an active coating facilitating the removal of organic stains or organic material from food, insects, or the environment.

Use of tertiary amines and alkyl alcohol blends to control surfactant composition rheology
A surfactant composition includes a surfactant component including an alcohol ethoxy sulfate having a C.sub.8-C.sub.20 backbone ethoxylated with from about 1 to about 10 moles of ethylene oxide and is present in an amount of from about 20 to about 80 weight percent actives. The surfactant composition also includes water present in a total amount of about 10 to about 35 weight percent. The surfactant composition further includes an alkyl alcohol present in an amount of from about 3 to about 10 weight percent. The surfactant composition also includes a tertiary amine present in an amount of about 5 to about 30 weight percent actives based on a total weight of the surfactant composition and having three arms wherein each arm includes from about 1 to about 25 moles of ethylene oxide functionality. The surfactant composition has a viscosity of less than about 10,000 cps measured at 20° C.
DETERGENT COMPOSITION CONTAINING A TETRAPOLYMER
Detergent compositions effective for controlling hard water scale accumulation are described herein. In particular, the compositions combine a tetrapolymer with an alkaline composition to effectively prevent or remove calcium carbonate scale formations. Methods of employing the detergent compositions and of preventing scale accumulation are provided for use in alkaline warewash and other applications.
INDOOR FOOD WASTE FERMENTATION AND RECYCLING PROCESS
A process for fermenting and recycling food waste that is fully enclosed, eliminating noxious odors, and therefore installable in a wide variety of urban settings at scale. Generally the steps of the process include intake, shredding and grinding, inoculation and acceleration, heterolactic fermentation, separation of solids and liquids, drying and distillation, and post-processing of liquid and solid byproducts. The result of the process includes useful goods such as nutrient-rich soil fertilizer, household cleaning agent, energy in the form of current or hydrogen, and treated water. The process is energy efficient and self-contained, resulting in the processing of food waste within 7 days, thus dramatically reducing the time of traditional fermentation processes to produce desired byproducts.
Photoresist pattern shrinking composition and pattern shrinking method
Provided is a composition for shrinking a photoresist pattern, which is capable of shrinking a photoresist pattern using a photoresist during the fabrication of a semiconductor, and to a method of shrinking a pattern using the composition, whereby a pattern to be formed can be shrunken in a photoresist-patterning process, thus remarkably decreasing the number of steps of a semiconductor fabrication process and reducing the fabrication time and costs.
