The present invention relates to the field of malodor counteraction. More particularly, it concerns malodor masking ingredient having an indane moiety (as defined in formula (I)), as well as malodor masking compositions comprising such ingredients.

Disclosed herein are methods for removing spores from skin, the method including dispensing an effective amount of a composition into or onto an article, wherein the composition includes water and from about 0.04 wt % to about 4 wt % polymeric cationic antimicrobial, nonionic antimicrobial or combinations thereof; contacting a skin surface with the composition; mechanically acting on the skin surface for at least one (1) second while the skin surface is in the presence of the composition; and removing at least a portion of the composition from the surface of the skin, wherein removing the composition also removes spores from the skin surface.

An object of the present invention is to provide a treatment liquid for a semiconductor substrate, which has excellent storage stability, excellent anticorrosion properties of tungsten, and excellent cleanability for a semiconductor substrate having tungsten after a CMP treatment. The present invention relates to freshening compositions and devices comprising same that comprise a composition comprising malodor reduction compositions and methods of making and using such compositions. Such malodor control technologies do not unduely interfere with the scent of the perfumed or unperfumed situs that is treated with the malodor control technology.

Solid alkali metal benzyl oxide compositions providing flowable solids, namely flowable powders and flowable granulates, and solid compositions containing the alkali metal benzyl oxide compositions in combination with additional components are disclosed. Methods of making the solid compositions and using the solid compositions are also provided. A cleaning solvent composition comprises from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, and from about 85 to 99.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents. Other cleaning solvent compositions further comprise one or more alcohols. For example, such alcohol-containing compositions may comprise from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, from about 2 to about 25 weight percent of one or more alcohols, and from about 25 to about 97.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents.
