Coconut-based liquid detergent composition
The present disclosure provides a liquid detergent composition with a coconut-based compound for cleaning, cleansing, lubricating, and combinations thereof, that can also be packaged inside a gable-top carton without any leaking or leaching out of the gable-top carton, when other combinations of compositions, as well as certain environmental factors are also present.
Use of Filler Blend to Reduce Turbidity and Discoloration of Unit Dose Detergent Composition
A detergent composition includes a surfactant component including a linear alkylbenzene sulfonate in an amount of from about 10 to about 35 wt % actives, an alkoxylated alcohol in an amount of from about 10 to about 30 wt % actives, water in a total amount of from about 10 to about 27 wt %, sodium and/or potassium hydroxide in an amount of from about 2 to about 4 wt % actives, an acidic defoamer in an amount of from about 1 to about 10 wt % actives, and a filler in an amount of at least about 25 wt % actives. The filler includes (1) propylene glycol, (2) glycerin, and (3) high fructose corn syrup in a weight ratio of actives of about (0 to 0.5):(0 to 0.5):(0.5 to 0.95). The composition includes less than 5 wt % actives of an alcohol ethoxy sulfate and less than 0.1 wt % actives of monoethanolamine.
Use Of Water Soluble Films Including Glucose And Fructose To Increase Stability Of Unit Dose Pacs
A unit detergent pack consists of a pouch made of a water-soluble film comprising polyvinyl alcohol, about 0.9 to about 15 weight percent actives of propylene glycol based on a total weight of the film, about 0 to about 23 weight percent actives of glycerin based on a total weight of the film, about 3 to about 17 weight percent actives of polyethylene glycol based on a total weight of the film wherein the polyethylene glycol has a number-average molecular weight of about 100 Daltons to about 600 Daltons, about 4 to about 15 weight percent actives of glucose based on a total weight of the film, and about 8 to about 18 weight percent actives of fructose based on a total weight of the film. The pack also includes a detergent composition encapsulated within the pouch.
Dissolvable Sheet Containing A Cleaning Active And Method Of Making Same
A dissolvable sheet having a water-soluble substrate, and one or more cleaning actives disposed uniformly throughout the water-soluble substrate. The water-soluble substrate is formed from a first substrate builder comprising polyvinyl alcohol, a second substrate builder, such as starch, and sodium laurylglucosides hydroxypropylsulfonate, and is sized and shaped to form a sheet, and hold a premeasured amount of the cleaning active. The substrate dissolves when contacted with a sufficient amount of water, thereby releasing the cleaning active into the water, which also dissolves in the water. A method of making the dissolvable sheet is also disclosed.
Low Density Unit Dose Detergents With Encapsulated Fragrance
The present disclosure is in the fields of household and industrial cleaning, particularly in applications for cleaning laundry. In one aspect the present disclosure provides liquid unit dose detergent product, having: (a) a container formed from a water-soluble or water-dispensible film material; and (b) a liquid composition having: (i) at least one surfactant; (ii) at least one encapsulated fragrance; and (iii) a solvent system that includes at least one low density organic solvent having a density less than 1.0 g/mL and at least one high density organic solvent having a density greater than 1.0 g/mL; wherein the water-soluble or water-dispensible film material forms a container that entraps the liquid composition.
LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING AN ETHYLENE OXIDE-PROPYLENE OXIDE-ETHYLENE OXIDE (EO/PO/EO) TRIBLOCK COPOLYMER AND A LIPASE
A laundry detergent composition containing an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide-ethylene oxide (EO/PO/EO) triblock copolymer and a lipase enzyme and use of an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide-ethylene oxide (EO/PO/EO) triblock copolymer and lipase enzyme in said laundry detergent composition.
Controlled rate of foam breakage in hard surface cleaners
The present invention relates to mildly alkaline bathroom and/or hard surface cleaners providing improved foam performance. In particular, a concentrated, preferably disinfecting, high performance foaming cleaning composition is disclosed which can reduce or eliminate the need for scrubbing on bathroom and other hard surfaces. Methods of use are further disclosed for bathroom and/or other hard surface cleaning. The foam has increased stability for a period of time, followed by dissipation with an audible “crackling” sound and easy rinsability.
Natural 1,2-alkanediols, compositions having natural 1,2-alkanediols and processes for making the same
A process is incorporated herein for the synthesis of bio-1,2-alkanediols, comprising: providing a bio-alkene having a carbon chain of about 5 to about 20 carbon atoms and a bio-1-alkene regioselectivity of at least about 80%, at least about 92% and/or at least about 95%; and converting the bio-alkene to a bio-1,2-alkanediol having a carbon chain length of about 5 to about 20 carbon atoms. Methods for treating catalysts which may be incorporated in the process for the synthesis of bio-1,2-alkanediols are also included herein. Such bio-1,2-alkanediols are used in compositions and products alone as antimicrobial materials, or with existing bio-compounds and/or antimicrobials, preservatives, alternative preservation systems and/or hurdle technology components. The bio-1,2-alkanediols incorporate a natural and bio-based pathway for antimicrobial effects in various compositions such as cosmetic, pharmaceutical, industrial and household products.
