PERFORMANCE GEAR, TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY, AND CLEANING AND PROTECTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A cleaning system for all laundry, high performance textiles, and sports gear, which includes a washing agent and a protective agent. The washing agent is configured to remove unwanted matter from the high performance textiles, sports gear, and/or other laundry. The protective agent is configured to create a bonded barrier comprising organosilane antimicrobial(s) on the high performance textiles, sports gear, and/or other laundry for protection against odors from bacteria, mold and mildew and/or the like. The washing agent and the protective agent are configured to be used in a two-step water-based treatment process in which the washing agent is provided in a given first step of the treatment process and the protective agent is provided in a given subsequent second step of the treatment process.
Natural 1,2-alkanediols, compositions having natural 1,2-alkanediols and processes for making the same
A process is incorporated herein for the synthesis of bio-1,2-alkanediols, comprising: providing a bio-alkene having a carbon chain of about 5 to about 20 carbon atoms and a bio-1-alkene regioselectivity of at least about 80%, at least about 92% and/or at least about 95%; and converting the bio-alkene to a bio-1,2-alkanediol having a carbon chain length of about 5 to about 20 carbon atoms. Methods for treating catalysts which may be incorporated in the process for the synthesis of bio-1,2-alkanediols are also included herein. Such bio-1,2-alkanediols are used in compositions and products alone as antimicrobial materials, or with existing bio-compounds and/or antimicrobials, preservatives, alternative preservation systems and/or hurdle technology components. The bio-1,2-alkanediols incorporate a natural and bio-based pathway for antimicrobial effects in various compositions such as cosmetic, pharmaceutical, industrial and household products.
SINGLE CHAMBER WATER-SOLUBLE REFILL DOSE ARTICLE ENCLOSING A CONCENTRATED CLEANSER COMPOSITION AND KITS HAVING SAME
Single compartment water-soluble refill dose articles having a water-soluble film enclosing a liquid concentrated cleanser composition, methods of making the same, and kits are disclosed. The liquid concentrated cleanser composition includes a mixture of a rheology modifier, a first surfactant, a stabilizing amount of a first alkaline substance, a viscosity increasing amount of an additional alkaline substance that interacts with the rheology modifier, when diluted with water to form a cleanser, to increase the viscosity, and about 10% or less wt/wt water and about 20% or less by wt/wt glycol. The first alkaline substance is an ethoxylated amine and prevents the viscosity increasing amount of additional alkaline substance from reacting with the rheology modifier before water dissolves the water-soluble film. When dissolved in water at a 1:1 to 1:20 ratio, a cleanser has a viscosity within a range of 2000 cps to 50,000 cps is formed.
ENZYMATIC POT AND PAN DETERGENT
Detergent compositions are disclosed which provide superior cleaning and removal of proteinaceous and starchy soils. Applicants have discovered a surfactant package which acts to enhance and improve the performance of enzymes such as proteases and/or amylases. Compositions for pot and pan warewash detergents and soaks are disclosed, as well as their use in manual or dish machine cleaning.
Cleaning Liquid, Set, Ink-Jet Recording Apparatus and Cleaning Method
There is provided a cleaning liquid usable for cleaning of an ink-jet recording apparatus, the cleaning liquid including: a first water-soluble organic solvent, a vapor pressure at 20° C. of the first water-soluble organic solvent being not less than 7 Pa; a second water-soluble organic solvent, a vapor pressure at 20° C. of the second water-soluble organic solvent being not more than 1 Pa; a nonionic surfactant; and water. The cleaning liquid satisfies the following conditions (1) to (3): Condition (1): 10≤A+B≤60; Condition (2): A/B≥1; Condition (3): (A+B)/C≥10. In the conditions (1) to (3), A: a content amount (% by mass) of the first water-soluble organic solvent, B: a content amount (% by mass) of the second water-soluble organic solvent, and C: a content amount (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant.
Cleaning Liquid, Set, Ink-Jet Recording Apparatus and Cleaning Method
A cleaning liquid, usable for cleaning of an ink-jet recording apparatus, includes: a nonionic surfactant, solubility of the nonionic surfactant in water at 20° C. being less than 0.2% by mass; a first water-soluble organic solvent of which solubility parameter is not less than 13; a second water-soluble organic solvent of which solubility parameter is less than 12; and water. The cleaning liquid satisfies the following conditions (1) to (4):
X≥0.1; Condition (1):
A−B≥0; Condition (2):
B/X≥15; Condition (3):
10≤A+B≤60. Condition (4):
X: a content amount (% by mass) of the nonionic surfactant, A: a content amount (% by mass) of the first water-soluble organic solvent, and B: a content amount (% by mass) of the second water-soluble organic solvent.

Use of glycol ether to control rheology of unit dose detergent pack
A unit dose detergent pack includes a pouch made of a water-soluble film and a detergent composition encapsulated within the pouch. The detergent composition consists essentially of a rheology modified surfactant system and at least one adjunct. The rheology modified surfactant system consists of a surfactant blend including an alcohol ethoxy sulfate having a C.sub.8-C.sub.20 backbone that is ethoxylated with from about 1 to about 10 moles of ethylene oxide and is present in an amount of from about 5 to about 30 weight percent actives. The detergent composition also consists essentially of a rheology modifying agents consisting of water present in a total amount of from about 5 to about 30 weight percent and a glycol ether present in an amount of from about 0.5 to about 20 weight percent.
