Fatty acid reaction products of dextrins or dextran formulated with a surfactant
Compositions comprising a neutral surfactant or a reaction product thereof and a reaction product of a saccharide polymer and a fatty acid may be obtained in the presence of water and a hydroxide base (optionally in the presence of the neutral surfactant), the saccharide polymer comprising a dextran, a dextrin compound, or any combination thereof. The reaction product of the saccharide polymer and the fatty acid may be present at a concentration effective to lower surface tension of the neutral surfactant. Depending on the fatty acid identity, among other factors, the compositions may promote emulsification or de-emulsification. In addition, the compositions may promote foam formation under appropriate conditions. Treatment fluids comprising the compositions, including foamed treatment fluids, may be introduced into a subterranean formation to perform a treatment operation in which fluid emulsification or de-emulsification may occur. The reaction products may be incorporated in soaps and other personal care products.
FABRIC CARE COMPOSITION COMPRISING METATHESIZED UNSATURATED POLYOL ESTERS
The present invention relates to fabric cleaning and/or treatment compositions as well as methods of making and using same. Such fabric cleaning and/or treatment compositions contain species of metathesized unsaturated polyol esters that have the correct rheology. Thus, such species of metathesized unsaturated polyol esters provide unexpectedly improved softenening performance and formulability.
WATER-SOLUBLE GRAFT POLYMER, THEIR PREPARATION, USES, AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SUCH POLYMERS
This invention deals with water-soluble graft polymers comprising as polymer base a polysaccharide, and as grafted side chains at least one water soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer, such unsaturated monomer comprising at least one sodium carboxylate unit, being produced by radically initiated polymerization reaction, and further employing during the polymerization at least one organic compound capable of complexing metal ions, preferably iron, containing in its structure at least one carboxyl-group which may be partially or fully present as acid-group or deprotonated in salt-form, their manufacture and uses, for example in laundry or dishwashing, and a method of stabilizing such graft polymers. The graft polymers have a solid content after manufacturing of at least 20% and with at least 70% of the solid content. The aqueous solution of a grafted polymer is the characterized by a Gardner color less than 4.0 and a color stability at least 6 months with an increase of maximum one Gardner color value unit at room temperature.

The present invention relates to a liquid laundry additive composition and method of use in washing laundry. Not only does the composition reduce laundry odors but it also reduces washing machine drum odor.
CARBOXYLATE ESTER OF POLYSACCHARIDE
The invention relates to a carboxylate ester of polysaccharide characterised in that it possesses ester bonds with trimellitic anhydride and is soluble in water. The polysaccharide is esterified with trimellitic anhydride and the degree of substitution of the polysaccharide lies in the range of from 0.5 to 3. The invention further relates to methods for the manufacture of these polysaccharides esters in organic solvents, in water or in an extruder or a kneader and to their use in fabric and home care formulations.
Process for making a particulate laundry detergent composition
A process for making a particulate laundry detergent composition, the process includes the steps: (a) contacting water, starch, acid and perfume to form a concentrated aqueous acidic mixture, the concentrated acidic mixture includes: (i) from about 20 wt % to about 60 wt % starch; (ii) from about 10 wt % to about 50 wt % acid; (ii) from about 2 wt % to about 20 wt % perfume; (iv) from 10 wt % to less than about 45 wt % water; the concentrated acidic mixture has a pH of less than about 4.5; (b) subjecting the concentrated acidic mixture to a perfume emulsification step to emulsify the perfume to form an emulsified perfume mixture in fluid form; and (c) spraying the emulsified perfume mixture in fluid form onto base detergent particles so that the emulsified perfume mixture at least partially coats the base detergent particles to form the particulate laundry detergent composition, the base detergent particles include from about 4 wt % to about 60 wt % detersive surfactant.
Alkyl glycoside-based micellar thickeners for surfactant systems
A rheology modifier which includes a mixture of short and long chain fatty acid esters is suitable for use in liquid surfactant-based compositions. A surfactant-based composition includes a surfactant, the rheology modifier, and water. The rheology modifier includes a mixture of alkyl glycoside fatty acid esters including a long chain fatty acid ester of an alkyl glycoside and a short chain fatty acid ester of an alkyl glycoside. The long chain fatty acid ester includes at least one fatty acid residue: R.sup.1(O)O, wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.12 or higher hydrocarbon. The short chain fatty acid ester includes least one fatty acid residue: R.sup.2(O)O, wherein R.sup.2 is a C.sub.6-C.sub.10 hydrocarbon.

The detergent tablet includes a film-forming agent, an anionic surfactant, a non-ionic surfactant, a chelating agent, an enzyme preparation, an auxiliary agent and a essence. The film-forming agent includes one or more of polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose, and dodecenyl succinate starch ester. The anionic surfactant includes at least two of sodium -olefin sulfonate, sodium fatty acid methyl ester sulfonate, and sodium hydroxyethyl sulfonate. The non-ionic surfactant includes at least two of fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ethers, fatty acid methyl ester ethoxylate, and oil ethoxylate.
