The detergent composition is typically a non-buffered composition that contains one or more C.sub.12 surfactants, typically at least a sodium lauroyl sarcosinate and the detergent composition is typically free of one or more of (1) any nonylphenol ethoxylate; (2) any pharmaceutically active drug or prodrug; (3) any salt in an amount that affects the functional characteristics of either of the solely C.sub.12 surfactants; (4) any salt in granular form; and/or (5) any ethoxylate that is a stand-alone ingredient.

According to the invention, a core-shell microcapsule is provided comprising a cross-linked polymeric shell encapsulating a perfume-containing core, wherein the cross-linked polymeric shell is the reaction product of a functionalized polysiloxane, a polyisocyanate and a polyamine and wherein the functionalized polysiloxane comprises a polysiloxane backbone, one or more ethoxylated alcohol side chains and one or more substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aliphatic cycloalkyl side chains.

The present application relates processes that can be used to produce encapsulated benefit agents comprising a core and a shell that encapsulates said core, encapsulated benefit agents produced by such process and products comprising such encapsulated benefit agents as well as methods of making and using such products. Such process can be used to produce particles that offer the desired protection and release benefits when used in a varity of products.

Solid laundry softening compositions for laundry applications of use are disclosed. In particular, solid laundry softening compositions combining high content and loading of quaternary ammonium compounds on a urea solidification aid in a ratio of at least about 1:1 to about 6:1 quaternary ammonium compound to urea are provided. The cast and extruded solid compositions can be provided as stable multi-use blocks having uniform dispensing rates and without block sloughing. Beneficially, the combination of quaternary ammonium compounds and urea can be provided in combination with softening boosters, processing aids, surfactants, and/or additional functional ingredients to provide stable solid composition.
