METHOD OF MAKING AND USING AN AQUEOUS COTTON RENEWING COMPOSITION
A method of making an aqueous cotton renewing composition for renewing a soiled cotton containing fabric is provided comprising: providing a liquid carrier; providing a cellulase; selecting a protectant polymer, comprising: 25 to 65 wt %, based on weight of the protectant polymer, of structural units of formula I
##STR00001##
wherein each R.sup.1 is independently selected from a hydrogen and a —CH.sub.3 group; and 35 to 75 wt %, based on weight of the protectant polymer, of structural units of formula II
##STR00002##
wherein each R.sup.2 is independently selected from a —C.sub.2-3 alkyl group and wherein each R.sup.3 is independently selected from a hydrogen and a methyl group; providing the selected protectant polymer; and combining the liquid carrier, the cellulase and the selected protectant polymer to form the aqueous cotton renewing composition. Also provided is a method of renewing a soiled cotton containing fabric.
Treatment compositions
The present invention relates to treatment compositions containing polymer systems that provide stability and benefit agent deposition as well as methods of making and using same. Such treatment compositions may be used for example as through the wash and/or through the rinse fabric enhancers as well as unit dose treatment compositions.
SUBSTRATE CLEANING SOLUTION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING DEVICE
To obtain a substrate cleaning solution capable of cleaning a substrate and removing particles. The present invention is a substrate cleaning solution comprising a polymer (A), an alkaline component (B), and a solvent (C), provided that the alkaline component (B) does not comprise ammonia.
STABLE ANTIFOAMING COMPOSITIONS
A stabilized antifoaming composition having at least three components. The first component is an antifoaming agent. The second component is an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer. The third component is a salt.
Synergistic stain removal through an alkali metal hydroxide-based detergent composition with novel chelator combination
The invention relates to a concentrated detergent composition comprising an alkali metal hydroxide, methylglycinediacetic acid, glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid, and alkali metal tripolyphosphate. The composition is particularly suited to remove tea and coffee soil in warewashing applications.
DETERGENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING ENCAPSULATES AND DEPOSITION AID
Detergent compositions that include surfactant systems, encapsulates, and cationic deposition aid polymers. Methods of making and using such compositions.
PROCESS FOR USING SWELLABLE and COLLAPSIBLE LIPOPHILIC SUPER-ABSORBENT POLYMER GELS TO CLEAN SURFACES
Lipophilic super-absorbent swelling gels have been developed that will not only absorb the oil and grease from these machine parts, but will also act as an automated sweeper due to the self-generating mechanical force of the gel. An octadecylacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (ODA-co-EGDMA) tetraalkylammonium tetraphenylborate lipophilic polyelectrolyte gel (EG-18) and poly(stearylacrylate-co-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) (SA-co-EGDMA) neutral gel (NG-18) were evaluated for swelling and oil sorption capacity. NG-18 and EG-18 gels removed particulate contaminants and absorbed oils and grease on metal and non-metal surfaces without causing abrasion. The gels are also recyclable. The cleaning ability of the gels was compared with the standard solvent cleaner trichloroethylene (TCE) following ASTM G122-96(2008) test methods and MIL-PRF-680B procedure with MIL-PRF-10924 test grease. Polymer gel cleaners exhibited analogous extent and rate of cleaning as the TCE. These recyclable superabsorbent polymer cleaners will allow drastic reduction in the use of VOC containing solvents and HAP release.
POUCHED, WATER DISPERSIBLE DETERGENT FORMULATIONS WITH HIGH WATER CONTENT
A detergent contained in a sealed package. The liquid detergent comprises: (a) from 14 to 40 wt % surfactants, (b) from 3 to 25 wt % salts, and (c) from 40 to 75 wt % water. The package is made from an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer which is in direct contact with the liquid detergent. The copolymer comprises from 70 to 90 wt % polymerized units of ethylene, from 10 to 30 polymerized units of (meth)acrylic acid and no more than 0.2 wt % crosslinker.
