COOLING NECK WRAP
A neck wrap for cooling down a neck area of a person. The neck wrap can be worn around a neck and have two pouches. Each of the two pouches can receive a liquid container that can be filled with cold liquid and optionally frozen. The two pouches having a contact area coming in contact with skin made of heat conductive material that can permit removing heat from the neck area by the cold liquid in the liquid containers when the neck wrap is worn around the neck.
LACTATION AID AND BREAST TISSUE THERAPEUTIC DEVICE
A lactation aid is disclosed having an outer layer defining a cavity and a core material located in the cavity, the core material being adapted to be one or more of: heated and cooled. The lactation aid is adapted to be manually rolled over a breast. The lactation aid may include protrusions, which protrusions may be hollow such that core material at least partially extends into the protrusions. A temperature indicator may also be present. The lactation aid may combine three therapeutic components: application of temperature (heating or cooling), movement and compression to breast tissue.
MODULAR TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD
Described embodiments provide systems and methods for managing the temperature of an item that includes a first flap portion and a second flap portion defining between them a first pouch containing substance; a third flap portion and the second flap portion defining between them a second pouch containing substance; a first portion of a fastener attached to the front side of the first flap portion; a first complementary portion of the fastener attached to the obverse side of the second flap portion; a second complementary portion of the fastener attached to the obverse side of the third flap portion.
RADIATION CURABLE PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL SOLUTIONS AND SHAPE STABLE THERMOSET PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL GELS FORMED THEREFROM
Radiation curable phase change solutions (PCM) and said solutions as a thermoset thermal energy gels (a radiation cured polymeric network) has a hydrophobic PCM, a polybutadiene urethane acrylate oligomer soluble in the hydrophobic PCM and present as 7% wt/wt to 25% wt/wt of the gel, a photoinitiator soluble in the hydrophobic PCM and present as 0.01% wt/wt to 0.5% wt/wt of the gel, a mono-functional or di-functional crosslinker soluble in the hydrophobic PCM and present as 0% wt/wt to 10% wt/wt of the gel, and a hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer as a secondary resin as 0% to 20% wt/wt of the gel and optionally a tertiary resin as 0% to 5% wt/wt of the gel, wherein the tertiary resin is a hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer that is different than the secondary resin. The solution or gel is sealed in a container, e.g., a sachet, to form a cold pack.
Simultaneous Thermal and Cooling Therapeutic Device
A therapeutic device combines both hot and cold therapy to work simultaneously together. The therapeutic device has a first portion being made of a material capable of being heated to a first temperature and a second portion having a fastener capable of connecting to a cold pack having a second temperature. The application of both hot and cold to the site of an injury of a user stimulates blood circulation to an injured muscle with heat and reduces inflammation with cold to facilitate a faster and more efficient recovery process of the afflicted area.
Thermal Therapy Garment Assembly
A thermal therapy garment assembly for includes a shirt that is wearable on a user. A plurality of pockets is each of the pockets is coupled to the shirt. A plurality of thermal packs is provided and each of the thermal packs is positionable in a respective one of the pockets. Each of the thermal packs is exposable to a heat source to apply heat therapy to strategic locations on the user's body. Each of the thermal packs is exposable to a cooling source to apply cold therapy to the strategic locations on the user's body. A plurality of straps is each coupled to the shirt. Each of the straps is tensionable along the shirt for compressing the shirt against the user's body. In this way each of the straps reduces blood circulation in the user's body for enhancing effectiveness of the heat or cold therapy.
COLD THERAPY DEVICE
The present invention is directed to a device for absorbing heat from a body. More particularly, the invention pertains to an improved device which utilizes a gel material comprising liquids and solids to absorb, over an extended period of time, heat from a body. The present invention also includes methods of providing cold therapy treatment to a user
MEDICAL CONDITIONS IN BODY CAVITIES
A device and method to treat an overgrowth of yeast in a body cavity and inflammatory and/or hemorrhagic conditions of a body cavity. The device comprising a shell, removal means, and a freezable filler contained in a chamber within the shell. When the filler is frozen and the device inserted into the body cavity, the shell cools the body cavity to a temperature that inhibits the replication of yeast and provides relief to symptoms. An external cooling component extending from the shell provides cooling at the body cavity opening, An expandable bladder in the shell provides tamponade treatment for body cavity hemorrhaging.
COLD STORAGE MATERIAL AND COLD STORAGE PACK
A cold storage material and a cold storage pack are provided where a single cooling medium (cold insulation pack) containing a cold storage material having a plurality of melting points can keep an object at a low temperature that is suited to a situation. The cold storage material changes phase at a prescribed temperature and contains: water; a base compound containing a quaternary ammonium salt that forms a semi-clathrate hydrate; and a supercooling inhibitor that suppresses supercooling, wherein the cold storage material has one or more melting points depending on a temperature range in which the cold storage material has been frozen. These features allow the user to set the melting point of the cold storage material as he/she wants, by properly changing the freezing temperature for intended usage
Maternal Under Garment
A garment for postnatal women for absorbing postpartum bleeding and providing soothing effects during post-partum recovery. The maternal under garment includes an exterior layer having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. An interior layer overlaps the exterior layer along a front panel and a rear panel of the garment. An upper perimeter of the front panel includes a V-shape, wherein a nadir of the V-shape is centrally positioned on the front panel to comfortably rest below a stomach area of a woman. The maternal under garment includes an adjustable waist band to retract as the stomach area becomes smaller postpartum. Multiple layers are disposed between the interior and exterior layer, such as an absorbent layer for absorbing postpartum bleeding, a cooling layer for soothing genitals during postpartum recovery, and an antibacterial layer for assisting with pain relief and the healing process after birth.
