SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DIFFUSE ENDOLUMINAL THERMAL LIQUID TREATMENT
A system may comprise a liquid source from which a liquid is delivered, and a catheter coupled to the liquid source. The catheter may include a distal portion from which the liquid is released into an anatomic lumen. The system may also include an occlusion device coupled to the catheter and configured to prevent flow of the liquid in the anatomic lumen proximally of the occlusion device. The system may also include a heating device near the distal portion of the catheter. The heating device may be configured to heat the liquid to a temperature of less than a vaporization temperature for the liquid.
Catheter Systems Enabling Improved Aspiration from Cerebral Arteries
A distal entry point (DEP) to brain aspiration (D2BA) catheter for use in an endovascular procedure for gaining access to cervical and cerebral arteries in a brain of a patient and aspirating one or more intracranial clots from the cerebral arteries, comprising a soft distal tip region having a distal length sufficient to extend from a level 1 or level 2 arterial segment of a cerebral artery or equivalent to an upper neck arterial vessel, a stiffness enabling movement through the level 1 or level 2 arterial segment of the cerebral artery, and an outside diameter (OD) of 6F-10F, a proximal region having a stiffness greater than the stiffness of the soft distal tip region, the proximal region having a length sufficient to extend to outside the patient through the DEP.
Apparatus and methods for delivering cold perfusion fluids in organ donors
The present disclosure relates to devices and methods for increasing the probability of a successful organ donation by decreasing organs' warm ischemia time. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to increasing the pool of eligible donors, including donors who had prior chest surgeries or prior abdominal surgeries. The present disclosure provides a catheter extending through a cannula, wherein the cannula delivers cold perfusion fluid and the catheter blocks the aorta, forcing the cold perfusion fluid to pass to organs in the donor's abdomen. The present disclosure further provides for advancing the catheter from a retracted position to an extended position, and creating a watertight seal at the cannula to prevent backflow of cold perfusion fluid.
SURGICAL METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING THE SAME
A system using a guide to assist in insertion of a helicoidal member in a target biological tissue. The system adheres to tissues using suction to allow insertion of the helicoidal member.
Chemical ablation formulations and methods of treatments for various diseases
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to the treatment of hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart failure, end-stage renal disease, digestive disease, urological disease, cancers, tumors, pains, asthma, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease by delivering of an effective amount of formulations at desired temperature to target tissue. The formulations include gases, vapors, liquids, solutions, emulsions and suspensions of one or more ingredients. The temperature may enhance safety and efficacy of the formulations for the treatments. The amounts of the formulation and/or energy are effective to injury or damage the tissues to have a benefit of symptom relive.
Ablation techniques for the treatment of atrial fibrillation
A catheter device provides a balloon structure and a side-firing laser lumen within the balloon to create lesions in the pulmonary vein (PV) in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Mounted on the balloon so as to contact the PV when the balloon is inflated are one or more electrodes which may be used in a measurement mode, a treatment mode, or both.
Catheters with enhanced flexibility and associated devices, systems, and methods
A neuromodulation catheter includes an elongate shaft and a neuromodulation element. The shaft includes two or more first cut shapes and two or more second cut shapes along a helical path extending around a longitudinal axis of the shaft. The first cut shapes are configured to at least partially resist deformation in response to longitudinal compression and tension on the shaft and torsion on the shaft in a first circumferential direction. The second cut shapes are configured to at least partially resist deformation in response to longitudinal compression on the shaft and torsion on the shaft in both first and second opposite circumferential directions.
NEUROVASCULAR CATHETER
A neurovascular catheter is provided, such as for distal neurovascular access or aspiration. The catheter includes an elongate flexible tubular body, having a proximal end, a distal end and a side wall defining a central lumen. A distal zone of the tubular body includes a tubular inner liner, a tie layer separated from the lumen by the inner liner, a helical coil surrounding the tie layer, an outer jacket surrounding the helical coil, and an opening at the distal end. Adjacent windings of the helical coil are spaced progressively further apart in the distal direction. The opening at the distal end of the tubular body is enlargeable from a first inside diameter for transluminal navigation to a second, larger inside diameter to facilitate aspiration of thrombus into the lumen.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENDOVASCULAR TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Devices, systems and methods for controlling a patient's body temperature by endovascular heat exchange and/or surface heat exchange.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERITONEAL OXYGENATION
Embodiments of the invention provide apparatus, systems and method for introducing fluids into a body cavity for treatment. One embodiment provides an apparatus for treating a patient including an access device for insertion into the peritoneal cavity of the patient including an infusion member in a lumen of the access device. An oxygenated solution may be infused and removed into and out of the cavity via the infusion member.
